cool hotel in good location with friendly and efficient front desk staff. Close to great shopping and good sites. Easy to get to from public transit. The hallways to the rooms sort of ruin the "luxury" impression of the hotel. The thick walls of the original structure run right through them, so they're difficult to navigate and closed in. I think some people would like the mystique of it, so depends on your view of that sort of thing.
The location was good. Mold in the bathroom, tiny windows, dungeon like feel walking to the rooms. Musty smell, overall dirty. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
This is an iconic hotel on water in the very center of the city. Ofelia Plads is right next to the hotel (with tango on weekend nights in the summer). The breakfast buffet is one of the best I have seen (but it can get crowded if you go there at a wrong time). The rooms with windows facing the street, as opposed to water, are less nice and noisier.
The location was excellent, near canals and cafes and the concierge staff was very helpful. My room had beams that kept me from easily getting out of bed, and I hit my head badly on one just sitting down in the chair. My phone had been turned off by the prior occupant, and so I missed my wakeup call. The maids should have looked for that and restored service so that didn't happen.
Beautiful rough hewn, 12" x 12" beams throughout; multiple skylights with custom coverings; easy access to taxis. See above
We really liked the location in proximity to restaurants and sightseeing. Also the decor/look and feel was nice with the brick walls and old beams. Very comfortable and spacious compared to other Copenhagen properties. The staff was just okay.
Great location in Copenhagen. Close to shops, restaurants and other sites. Clean and historic style hotel. Plentiful buffet breakfast.
Easy to find your way back to. Not far from food and shops. A neat place to stay, wish we had the time to stay longer. Corner of the bed sticking out where you bump your shin and trip as you pass through the room. A bit narrow between furniture and bed.
Parking was expensive
The location of the hotel is very safe (near foreign embassies and the royal palace), on the waterfront facing the opera house, and close to wonderful restaurants. The buffet breakfast is great. The structure of the building was built in 1600 or 1700's as huge warehouse, The some large vertical beams are, unfortunately, in the middle of the guest rooms. The hallways feature long rows of brick arches. Have stayed in this hotel 4 times. Would be happy to stay there again despite somewhat high prices. The equipment stored between the hallway arches somewhat detracts from the ambience.
The architecture is a great mix of old world and contemporary. The wood ceiling and support beams in the guest rooms and the brick arches down the center of the hallways make this a one of a kind location. Not a lot of dining options. The brunch buffet was a bit pricey.
The helpfulness of the staff could not be faulted and the choice of food for breakfast excellent.
Very comfortable beds. The executive lounge was good value. The location is good enough but it's a bit of a walk to the absolute city center.
Que to check out / que to hold baggage - lots of waiting
The hotel provides a very good location to Tivoli Gardens and Train Station
The beds were extremely comfortable and the view from our room was lovely. We were upgraded from a city view to water ciew room. The reception staff took too long to answer the phone. Perhaps more staff are required?
comfort Too long time tjekking out
First time ever a hotel charges a guest for an empty plate.. 76 Dk.. unprecedented! Buying a plate and cutlery would have much cheaper. It's cheap for a hotel under this marriottt flag to be as cheap.
Cleanliness and Location. Within walking distance of City. Our Room wasnt automatically cleaned.
Service in bar/restaurant The late check-in
The rooms were a good size for scandinavia, and there was a very good view. Although a 5 star hotel there was a general small mindedness and lack of orgnasation; very expensive wifi, very expensive breakfast and be careful when to go there as we just avoided very long queues. I arrived early and did not need to be told that normal checkin was at 16:00, when I did come back after 16:00 nothing had been done i.e. had to complete checkin, bags not already in room etc
the room and the wiew no
friendly staff It's not really a hotel for a leisure break, it's more of an efficient, business-like operation.
Nice hotel, clean and well located. It is a modern structure with modern looking rooms. It is not in my opinion a 5 star hotel, at best it is 4 star, the rooms are nota nice as they should be for a 5 star hotel.
staff very good, graeat views from 17th floor menus in alberto k with only 5 or 7 course meal. no choice
Great location across from Tivoli and train station, near main walking street.
great location and very clean bar was very very expensive.staff at reception were efficient but were not very friendly.
Friendly hotel, clean and comfortable. Excellent location.
Nice big workout facility.
I like the location, it was perfect. TThe first stay there, I wasn't as enamored as I became with the second stay. First time the room was a bit cramped and a bit worn, the second stay the room was much improved. Good service and very helpful staff. The firstt time we were there, the room was a bit tired and need to be redone. The second time there we had a remodeled room that was great.
The location eight next to the train station When we arrived after an overnight flight, feeling very tired, the hotel computer was down and we had to wait for a coup[e of hours in the lobby for it to be fixed. The hotel should have made some sort of small gesture to compensate us for this. Also the breakfast included thawed frozen fruit which had turned rancid one day. The next hotel in Bergen had FRESH fruit. like melon, cantaloupe and kiwi. was was cut up and delicious.
Staff was awesome. The towel I used in the AM looked like someone had previosly used it for toilet paper. Grossed me out. Not something you'd expect at a higher $ hotel.
Nice view from the window. A lot of mirrors in the room. More than enough hangers. Tea kettle. Free wifi in the room. Nice lighting. They gave us a twin bed although we are a couple. No slippers, no bathrobe, and very few bathroom supplies (no cotton swabs, no cotton discs, just your basic shower cap, shampoo and lotion). Inconvenient bathtub/shower arrangement, but they never are convenient in hotels for some reason. The restaurant the consierge recommended was not very good.
Elegance and kindness is what you'll find at this hotel, and in beautiful Copenhagen. No barrier between shower and bathroom except a curtain. Otherwise all fantastic.
The hotel personnel was really helpful in finding our way in Copenhagen, the rooms are splendid (superior room) and it was very quiet although there were fully booked during the week
Hotel is quite nice but with confusing layout in numerous houses. After you learn where your room is and what elevator goes there it gets better.Room was nice and the staff friendly and helpful.
The stuff are very helpful The breakfast finished early
Appreciate quick change of room when found toilet leaked. Very nice breakfast and attention during same
location, staff My room was a little tired decor - wise
the restrorant patio the so called superior double room is situated on the 4th ! floor without an elevator! it is just after the construction so it's absolutely unacceptable because of the smell of construction materials .I refused to stay in such room, they offered me another one saying it is the ordinary( not superior). There were so small windows that there was very stuffy there. Some strange staircase lead from the roof directly to the window! and when I was checking out next morning the reception stuff (the other one) claimed that it was also SUPERIOR room!
The quality of the bedroom did not match that of the public areas.
Extremely good value for price. Very nice setting. Extremely comfortable bed. Nicely decorated room with a big window. Entrance to the spa is free for the hotel guests: you can access the jacuzzi, the sauna and the steam bath (remember to bring along a swimming suit). Easy and fast connection to the airport by metro (Norreport station): 15 minutes metro ride plus max 10 minutes walking. Centrally located. Staff very helpful. We booked a 'small' double room. I have a light sleep so I personally prefer when the actual bedroom is 'isolated' from the corridor with a little entrance rather that having just a door separating your bed from the outside. Given the general high standards of the hotel, I was expecting the room to be a bit bigger and more isolated. Anyway I wasn't really disturbed while sleeping so I found it still a very comfortable room. Maybe the carpet on the hallway did the trick and probably the hotel guests were very respectful too ;) Finally: don't use the bar as a fridge to store your own food. An electronic system will detect you're messing around so it's advisable you read the instructions upfront or that you ask information at the recepti
The upgrade for we received.
Were very helpful when I lost a credit card prior to my arrival. Until check-in provided storage for bags, a local map and helpful advice.
Possibility to hire a bike low seats at breakfast
Hotel didn't have the reservations I'd made with Kayak and double-charged me even though I specifically did not authorize it. Didn't like much of what was dealt at this hotel.
stylish, good location Similar to other reviewers, had problems with booking through Kayak. Getaroom.com did not forward $$$ to hotel. Double charged. Had to call credit card company to put a hold on kayak charge made 2 months earlier.
very friendly staff, nice design of the lobby, nice breakfast and perfect location, especially for gay travellers - all gay bars etc are very very close i did not find air conditioning in the room which was not a problem when i was staying (in november) but could be if u stay in summer and it is hot.
We received an email prior to checking in asking what time we would arrive . We explained 10 am due to leaving cruise ship they said no problem we will have your room ready . When we arrived they had no knowledge of letter and no room until late afternoon and a lobby full of people. They asked if they could put us in another hotel. We agreed. The location was not nearly as good . They double charged us for a room. It was hot . No hvac on top floor. Very dirty carpets and furniture. No wake up call as requested .
Good location, interesting design I made a reservation via Kayak for November 28th, and arrived from a trans-atlantic flight in the evening to prepare for a dinner at geranium. The lobby is a confused wine-bar/check-in hybrid and between serving drinks, and chatting with a friend the person at the desk told me after 10 minutes there was a problem with my reservation. After another 5 minutes she told me that due to issues with the online reservation agent the hotel had decided to no longer accept bookings and had cancelled my reservation. After approximately another 5 minutes of me trying to understand how this could have happened with a confirmed reservation and reservation number in hand, she told me that the online agent had been informed and that it was their responsibility to inform me - predictably this turned into a she-said/he-said with the online agent subsequently stating that no such conversation had occured. Finally another 5 minutes in, I prevailed upon the person at reception to call my favourite hotel in Copenhagen (which was supposed to be fully booked) and beg for a room. This was finally done and I left. Sadly I was forced to return and actually stay at sp34 due to a strong masochistic streak and a non-refundable booking made prior to my first dealings with them. Sadly sp34 continued in what I can only describe as the worst hotel experience I have ever encountered in Europe. The check in again was confused. The hallways were frigid and the rooms cold. My room a deluxe double, apparently one step below their suite was exactly 11 feet by 15 feet and was tragically decorated in a style you could charitably call "Danish hipster" but which I would relabel nonsensical uncomfortable and bourgeois. The room was claustrophobic and looked out over the main street where at exactly 4:30 AM deliveries began and garbage was removed. The water pressure was poor the shower difficult to direct and the towels appeared to have been remade from recycled cardboard. Having to check out at 6:45 AM to make a flight I inquired since I had paid for a breakfast and thought it started at 6:30 if I could take something to go? Sadly by this point I was not surprised to hear that I would be charged 15 DKK for a danish and no rebate would be offered for uneaten breakfast.... I left not feeling hungry at all. I would beg those of you who expect a contemporary tasteful danish hotel experience to stay ANYWHERE else. The sp34 may be in its infancy but I anticipate this hotel is never going to amount to more than mediocre service and offer pretentions to ill-defined danish cool.
the aesthetics and the room design and decoration; breakfast was also good. cold atmosphere and staff; too expensive for what it offerred; unpleasant condition statement "we do not accomodate children"
The hotel was in a great location and had a convonvient bar in the lobby. The rooms we clean and the bed was comfortable!
The room design was very funny and quirky
it was really dirty everything, the otel needs a remodelation urgently!!!!!
Proximity to the city centre, and pleasant quarter, a lolt of young people from all around the world. We are 60+ old & approaching retiremment but but are quite young in health & spirit. may be this hotel is not that good for most pepole of our age.
Location, design, atmosphere This isn't really a dislike, just be aware the smaller rooms are REALLY small, if this is an issue, opt for one size larger
Its location in the city center.Good breakfast Although the booking was for 2 nights, we were expected for only one night and so we were obliged to wait at the desk. Taking into account the price/night of the room : wardrobe too much small and closed by a curtain! Bathroom size not in adequation with the room size; no shower protection. 90's vintageTV-set ; poor number of TV-channels. In conclusion, very poor value for money.
location I did book a meeting room, + coffie, water and soft drinks,by tel.con. to your confference/even dept. and gave my name and reservation number at your hotel. And asked for a confirmaton by email. I received no email and t the point of need, this meeting room reservation was not in your books.
Room546 was great. Huge space and huge bathroom. Windows looking out to clock tower. Service was very good. It was slightly expensive but for weekend birthday celebration it was great.
the location and comfort for that level of price I would expect a better level of acoustical insulation
Easy walking to all sites, located on the pedestrian area... The Stroget, close to the metro too. Wonderful coffee shops all around, and a running sushi place too.
Excellent reception, comfortable beds, quiet area, very good breakfast Nothing!
buisness and plessure no
Great Location, can't be beat! a little rundown; the floors used to be warmed, but the staff removed the switches to warm the tiles... kind of cheap. VERY expensive for what was offered over $40 US for an OK breakfast... but then Denmark is expensive. stay for the location, but don't expect a value
Perfect location, right next to the University Rooms for a hotel in this category are a bit spartan. The hotel is showing some wear and tear. Biggest problem was the noise. It was late September and the weather was not hot, not cold. The hotel had turned on the heat, despite my trying to turn it off. The heat was considerable. I opened the windows to get fresh air and keep the room bearable, but the street noise (all night) was incredibly loud. The hotel is right next to the University, so it was not a surprise as students come home from the bars (until 6am), but it led to a night of little sleep.
Polite staff. Poor equipment and expensive everything.
Great central location. Sexy Building. Great Restaurant and bar. Comfortable beds, duvets very soft. Well stocked mini bar. Room a bit tired. Wardrobe space tiny. Bathroom had mould stuck in silicone around bath, and plug was closed with dirty water sitting in basin. Bathroom amenities not what they were four years ago. Ren products have been replaced with something cheaper and less desirable.
Central location close to pedestrian area in city center. Quiet room (5th floor, not towards road) with good noise isolation within building. Wanna-be design (awkward mixture of cheap parquet and modern dark brown furniture). Small room. No water bottles offered. Room wasn't cleaned after being out 9:00-14:00.
Incredibly friendly staff and great breakfast buffet. Location was great next to city hall, pedestrian mall and easy access to Metro and Train (to airport) Gym was closed
the room is perfect and the service is very good, the location is not as good as we expected we got a bad expereince on payment, the old man made mistakes on payments,he deducated 1080DKKS moe from our credit card, and until now,we still busy on it
Renovated room, good restaurant. No parking on building.
Central location, very clean, friendly staff.
Facilities and staff friendliness much improved since my previous stay last year. Great rooms, bar catering and general service. Free WiFi is perfect for business.
The place of the hotel and our room was splendid . Must be really lovely to have have drink at the cosy bar when it snows . We look forward to our next visit .
Friendly staff Charges for late check out
The location was perfect, next to the pedestrian shopping street. Our room was spacious and nice, something that was really important for us since we had our baby daughter with us. But as far as I know not all rooms of this hotel are spacious. Breakfast was OK. Generally we were really satisfied from the hotel selection.
The location in the heart of the city The worn out carpets
Internet is free throughout the hotel. Breakfast is good. Location is super. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Bathroom supplies are missing. I would recommend the hotel provides hair conditioner, shampoo, normal soap. All in one soap attached to the wall is not of a good quality. Superior rooms are good in terms of size, views.
The location is excellent - few steps from City Hall, in Latin district, near Univercity library(very nice place). Good breakfast - in continental style, but food was very nice ( especially various sorts of cheese and fresh orange juice) The bathrooom was not comfortable - very little room, instead of normal shower pallet - plastic curtain and hole in floor.
That I was there only one night. Lack of doors that locked.
Nearness to train station and city center. Nice room with a comfortable bed. Wireless internet, hair dryer, etc. Swedish tv channels ;-) The breakfast buffé - the coffee was hardly drinkable, and there was no plain youghurt to go with the müsli. Theres were no bottled water to buy in the room. A water boiler and some instant coffea/teabags would have been nice too.
location Booked well in advance and requested a room away from the street, preferably at the back or facing the court yard. But, was given a room right by the street. The receptionist explaination was there was no room available as requested, just wonder how much in advance notice before is requiered.
Near to city center
This is a very comfortable town in a great location within Copenhagen. I would definitely use stay there again when I am in the city.
room was small and close to hallway entrance so a bit noisy.
excellent location, near many points of interest, bus lines and train.
The situation, well located in the heart of Copenhaghen The room i get is very small, with old basic furniture, uncofortable bed. The roos is very basic, no coffe or tea maker....I can`t considere the hotel a 4* one. it is less than 3*.
Excellent location, friendly staff, a diverse breakfast menu. No air conditioning, church bells till midnight, small room. Our friends didn't get breakfast with the room and they paid as much as we did. When I booked it was not an option. Breakfast is expensive if you have to add it. The room is furnished in Danish modern. You have to side step between the bed and the wall.
Room was a decent size, good location and staff were helpful Breakfast choice was limited, evening buffet was not to our taste
Location and "laid back" facilities and staff The room would be too small for anything other than one or two nights
Room was very nice, new furniture, excellent breakfast, location - excelent. -------------------------
The breakfast was very good. The bed was excellent and I also liked the design. Very many nice design features throughout the hotel and in the room. A smell of fresh paint in the room. I believe the closet has been recently repainted.
The facilities such as free evening buffet and free coffee & Tea all day are very much appreciated as also the fact that Wifi is free of charge in the hotel. Very convenient central location, nice to go out and explore without having to take a taxi or public transport. Despite having booked a double room for single-use, I was clearly given a single room, which is fine for just one night, but a bit cramped for a longer stay. The rooms are fashionably furbished but the depth of the cupboard isn't sufficient; one can't lay a shirt on the plank not in the length and not even in the width.
Hip and trendy designer atmosphere and friendly staff. Good evening buffet is a good alternative to expensive restaurants. The rooms (especially the single rooms) are rather small and hence inconvenient for a stay of more than 2 or 3 days.
The proximity of the church bells... every hour, quarter hour, and half hour -at least we knew what time it was! Fortunately it stopped at midnight and re started at 8am. Pity for us we were staying here to lounge in bed all day and sleep/relax after a very long work period with no breaks. Also, there was no room service available, which didn't bode well with our plans of being super lazy. If you were here to sight see and do normal tourist things then it was fine. The hinges on the bathroom door are extremely noisy/squeeky/grinding, the guy at the desk said yes they were aware of the problem but there was nothing that they could do... so we wedged the door open with my shoes.
That breakfast and dinner was included and it had a relaxing environment, especially in the lobby area.
Location.. Room quite basic, but clean and relatively quiet. The elevator was only half-reliable and stopped a few times between floors. The keycards for the room were a bit tricky also for the elevator you had to try the key several times to make it work. I stayed one night and changed for a new keycard once, but it did not help much. The room was only available with an evening buffee which I did not really need as I had other plans - the "free" buffee seemed okey though, popular and crowded.
Location of the hotel and the facilities of the hotel
Location location location. By far the best part. Complimentary breakfast was very good. It's more than just cereal and hard-boiled eggs. you get a range of meats, eggs, a good coffee machine, fruits, yogurt, etc. Very nice. Super friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are incredibly small. I guess this is normal for Copenhagen, but still. I had to get a "Double" bed room after the Singles were sold out, paying a decent amount more, and was surprised at how small the room was (can't imagine what a single would be like). Walls are then (but it is an old building) so you hear everything from your neighbor, as well as screams from Trivoli Gardens, as well as the nearby bell tower (kind of nice actually). In my opinion, not a good value for the money.
facility and location the hotel was not in full capacity in low season. the room given to us was all the way in the back next to the dumpster with utilities view. When requested a different room with a more decent view, received the same response of having no other room in the same category and requested higher price for a different room. My reservation was not cheap, and i don't think is fair to be in an unpleasant room when the hotel has available capacity to make its guests´stay pleasant.
Location was premium. Central to everything. I found the staff very accommodating & friendly. There was an underlying unpleasant smell in the room. Couldn't tell what it was.
I had low expectation as Copenhagen hotels are expensive and you don't get much for your money. We stayed at Square for $250/night including breakfast, wifi and taxes. Room was decent size for a European hotel. Breakfast buffet selection was sufficient. Location is central. Overall, I would stay at the hotel again.
The location is superb. The breakfast was disappointing and we could not find a table due to too many persons were there at the same time. Nobody cared if You could find a seating and the tables were very slowly cleaned. Absolutely not satisfactory to that price.
The hotel is very nice inside, the staff was friendly and relatively quick to serve you. The hotel was located right in the center of the city, so far everything is a short walk. The hotel appeared clean, it was beautifully decorated with fall decor when we stood there. The rooms themselves were clean with no odors or anything like that. Overall the hotel was a good experience. The hotel rooms were nice but they were a bit small. Our room faced a brick wall so there was no view, nada. When we got to the hotel at 4pm they told us that the room wasn't ready, which was annoying. Aside from that our experience at the hotel was pleasurable.
Great location, small but very comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast. Front desk staff were a bit brusque (on previous visits, they have been very friendly).
I like the location.
Shopping paradise starts just in 200 meters over the square. The room, even "executive", was tiny and did not feel like 22 m2. The hotel outside looks very dirty and falls out off beautiful square ensemble. Noise outside stops only at 1:00-5:00 at night.
Staff was wonderful, everybody spoke perfect English and were very helpful! Breakfast was worth the price. Would highly recommend it for location and staff! Rooms were a little smaller than we expected.
The breakfast :(
Bed and air conditioner
The hotel is close to the shopping streets and restaurants. The hotel also seems quite new, nice design, and rooms were clean and rather big. The hotel was just beside a busy street, with noise from ambulance and police all night. Windows were not sound proof, so it was difficult to get a good night sleep. Also there was a constant draft from the window so the room was constantly cold. Therefore I will never book here again.
The staff in reception were very friendly and helpful. We had lovely views of Copenhagen and the hotel was within walking distance to the centre. The bed was very comfortable. We arrived at 4pm in the afternoon, and the room was not ready available for us! We had to wait while the housekeeping staff to the room. However there was mould in the bathroom and the shower fittings where old and lower grade. The staff uniforms in the Breakfast room where old and ill fitting. We had problems with the parking ticket not working.
It could have been an much better hotel if they fixed their service and attitude on the staff. Poor service not close to four star rating according to me. I've visited one star hotels with better service, seriously.
Very convenient, staff were veyr helpful, room a very good size for scandinavia, free wi-fi and printing service the restuarant is not really equal to the hotel
The 17th floor needs a refurb and there was a draft through my window.
The breakfast The room
Excellent view of the city from 18th floor. Very convenient location near the railway station. Use of sauna. Pillows were rather small and only two for two people, would have preferred four of them.
Room. Breakfast facilities.
the hotel staff was very friendly and very helpful. the breakfast is wonderfully expanded the hotel wasn't really cheap, we payed about 240 € for a double room for 2 nights ... just so you know ...
The Location The Room was a bit warm
Close to all or many activities The price for the 2nd. day. 700,00 kroner more than 1st. day
Large television in the room and the bathroom was clean. The breakfast has everything you could need. The room is small for how much we paid.
The breakfast room was understaffed when we came there about an hour before closing time
Internet network was not very strong, Breakfast buffet was very weak compared to other hotel that I stay at in Copenhagen.
Service, location, room as such No aircondition!!!
The room was clean. I use the wake-up call facility in the morning. On the two days, the wake-up calls were required as I would have continued to sleep !. The breakfast was fine. On this occasion, my wife did not accompany me so I did not dine in the hotel in the evening. PLease note that I stayed in the hotel previously, it is close to the EEA building where I had my meeting and my head office ma\de the booking on the internet. From a point of energy efficiency, it may be more efficient to keep guests in one side of the hotel and to have separate heating arrangements for each floor/side of the building and thus heat teh section immediately required.
Excellent area; near city centre. Good size room. Nice breakfast. Very dated. Hairdryer faulty. Shower faulty. My room backed straight on to a washing up room, so v. noisy. No air conditioning.
The easy access this hotel has to many of the sites that are to be seen in Copenhagen. This hotel is only worth it, if you wish to have easy access to everything. I would not recommend staying at this hotel if individuals wish to have a nice hotel experience. My wife and I realized it was not worth staying at this hotel. We did not like that the rooms were way too small. The rooms portrayed online and through the websites make the rooms appear bigger than they are. It was hard for my wife and I to move around and we only had backpacks with us. The bathroom was another story and we hated it. The bathroom floor is literally one floor where you stand on which you shower, go bathroom, and use the mirror. The toilet holder was barely holding onto the wall and fell off a couple times and the towel holders were in the same condition.
Location is great for city centre. It is just far enough away to be reasonably quiet at night as Copenhagen has many bars/nightclubs/raves, etc and can get rowdy. This is a repeat stay for me at Phoenix. be aware that "Superior room" in Europe is not same as expectations in North America. This would be a tight squeeze for 2 people but I knew that
Central position Breakfast service was 'average'
The room was very smartly furnished. The bed was very confortable. The room was smaller than I expected. The A/C was non-functioning while I was there, but they were working on fixing it. I opened the window, but had to close it at night due to traffic noise.
I have known Imperial Hotel since 1965 when I stayed there for the first time with my parents but they were frequent guests at Imerial on their numerous visits to Copenhagen because of my fathers profession. Imperial has been first choice ever since for the whole family on our many visits to Denmark and we have never been disappointed on our stay with you. We sincerely hope for many trips in the future with a pleasent stay at Imperial Hotel. Because of my allergy I would have preferred wooden floors instead of carpeting in the rooms.
Air conditioning did not work, Heated floor in bathroom could not be turned off, very noisy with windows open,
I did like every thing ,because it is central and nice plase to syay in
Ewerything was werry good no
The room was very comfortable and clean, staff not particularly friendly. We booked a package with champagne on arrival we were not given champagne it was sparkling wine. I myself are not keen on lifts and stairs were not always accessible because of door locked. Room keys only worked to let you in I was very concerned what would happen if a fire occured.
Location. Nice breakfast room. Initially the room offered was too far from the lifts and reception, like five minutes walk.
Very nice room if small - good service and plenty of facilities The breakfast was a bit of a shambles and not the nicest I have had
Good location, close to railway stations and Tivoli. Reasonably clean and modern. Free wi-fi. Close to a couple of supermarkets. Good public transportation options (bus and rail) nearby. Free breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff. No fridge in the room. As such couldn't buy stuffs from local supermarkets to enjoy later. Shower door was lousy, only covers about 1/3 of the area, resulting in bathroom floor to be wet. Not enough elevators, especially since they all are small in size (can only accommodate 6 persons at a time).
The staff was perfect, they changed our room in a second, perfect. We were their during winter, there is not much heating
No mattress , was a pad instead. No air conditioning. 12 tv stations Was like a motel not a hotel. Doors slamming all night. Bathroom shower not very clean. Never stay again especially at what we paid.
We were very pleased with the location which was absolutely perfect, & it was beautifully clean ,warm & comfortable Liked everything
Friendly staff, good and quiet location. The room was dusty, internet access never worked properly.
Excellent Italian restaurant associated with the hotel. Reception staff very good A thick coating of dust on the upper portion of the window drapes in my room.(458)
There seems to be aproblem with the WiFi system. I could not connect nor could my colleague. I had the same problem last year.
The location, very near the city center. Although comfortable and nice, the rooms are small.
Comfortable, quiet, clean place to stay for a relatively good price.
It's a nice hotel with the typical Copenhagen small rooms. The place is clean and fairly central and quiet, somewhat on the expensive side to what you're getting.
Location: 2 blocks from 5A bus stop, Klimt & Caribbean cafe, Saturday Israelplads flea market, Botanical gardens, Miniatures store, Chinese store, Ice cream store, and half block from fresh food market & homemade samosas. Block party was the best time. Didn't get wake-up calls for 2 days, then problem got fixed with a new phone.
very small room. I asked for a non smoking room but I recieved a very smelly room ... slept for 5 nights with my window wide open ... the breakfast was very good, but the room was too small, even the bathroom was very little. When taking a shower, the whole floor get wet, go no access to the toilet or your feet were wet ... The first day their wireless internet did not work, the days after it did luckely work.
It was convenient, the staff very friendly and welcoming, comfortable beds and great breakfast I think the rooms could do with updating and the heating in the room wasn't very good
Hotel is under 5 minute walk from Norreport Metro and you can see if from the station! It's 13 minutes or so from the airport, very easy. A safe part of town it's clean, and in walking distance of a number of nice restaurants, cafes and places of interest such as the botanical gardens. You can walk to all the major tourist spots or take the metro. It's a nice quiet area. As for the hotel itself, the staff were welcoming, it was clean and tidy, modern, trendy and eco friendly. We ordered a large room with twin beds as I was staying with a friend. Room size was perfect but you need to ensure you book large or extra large if there are two of you and you are coming from the UK as European rooms are often quite small. You get what you pay for though as the rooms are good value. There are no wardrobes which we didn't mind as it's designed for the city break traveller in mind who doesn't have lots of luggage to unpack. Beds were extremely comfortable I slept 10 hours a night! Bathroom is a wet room which I really liked. The rooms are relatively basic and eco friendly but more than adequate. Would really recommend this hotel! Hard to say what I didn't like it was all great. Would have benefited from tea and coffee making facilities in the room but that's a bit of a luxury so don't expect it. Apparently they are in the process of installing this facility in rooms which is lovely to know
good located. nice staff. nice breakfast buffet. large room bad cleaning. curtain and hole in the floor instead of shower cabin. no fan.
Privacy, great television and good bed. Beautyful apartment. Great location. The shower did not work properly.
The location is great. The staff is very helpful. The breakfast is excellent. Great place to stay.
LOcation and friendly/helpful staff
It was cold in the room and they didnt improove it!
The location is exellent
The receptionists are not kind. The carparking is 15 Euro per night this is mot nice. This apartment is not for four person! It is a family room. 2 person will sleep in a very small bad and it is rather uncomfortable. It was 50 euro per night and does not deserve this money!
Wi liked the location and that we got a new towel every day.
The apartments are in the 3 buildings next to Ascot hotel, all in the same block. - spacious (can accommodate at least 4), with equipped kitchen - excellent breakfast (on the main hotel) - location is very central, Tivoli just around the corner, main train station a little further. And Copenhagen is flat, so walking was easy. - apartment was not very clean; floor was vacuumed and beds were made, but not all surfaces (and couch) were dusted. - a bed plank was broken, with attached nails protruding; no-one fixed it for the whole week we stayed there
We stayed in an apartment with lots of privacy and a seperate bedroom which made it possible to be there with our 1 year old son. The extremely noisy surroundings i.e. the nearby boulevard and the cinema visitors
I can not tell you how much I detested my stay at Kong Frederik. It was dirty, worn down, overly heated with no way to cool the room down and the staff knew absolutely nothing about the city. I hate this hotel beyond words.
service and excellent price
The room was beautiful. I liked the dark-colured wood and the nice combination with green. Also nice with a bath tub. The staff was very helpful.
It was clean. Coffee and milk and cups in the big atrium ran out frequently.
It cannot be that I pay for a 4star hotel and then I have nearly no space in the bathroom. In addition, I had to sleep in front of a disco club, having windows that are like 50years old (thus the noise goes through) and having no air conditioning when being forced to close the windows. All told, I had nearly no sleep and was damn angry.
Nice hotel which is located close to main shopping street. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.
Location is good but the Room is to small! Not worth it.
Location It's dirty. The interior was quite brilliant but it's rotten now. It's easy convert this hotel into 4-stars but nobody's care. If you mind of clearnesness this hotel is not for you.
the hotel has just been taken over and most of the staff seemed a bit de- motivated. No more restaurant facilities-and it used to be one of the best restaurants in Copenhagen. rooms on street-side very noisy.
not enough electrical outlets
Close to Tivoli Gardens and city centre. Clean, well-kept, economical, and a reasonable breakfast. Our standard room had bunk beds, and a pull-out bed that set up beside one of the bunks to make a double bed. With that up, the room was cramped. I would take the Commodore Room a second time, for another $20 Cdn. If you take the standard, be prepared to set the extra bed up yourself.
Clean and pretty quiet. Close to central station. Efficient and tidy. Good value. Not necessarily a place to relax. More a base to explore the city from.
The staff all spoke English, they were usually helpful, although a bit slow to help the lines and lines of people waiting, and the room was good enough for 1 night. I really enjoyed the breakfast, and the free internet access. I dont know if there were any pictures on the site, and I realize Copenhagen is a very expensive city, but the room was much smaller than I expected... it was comfortable enough, but the value for the money was not really worth it. I felt like I was on a ship with how confined the room was. The walls are very thin, which made it difficult to sleep, but I realize it is a budget hotel, too, so it was fair, but just a lot smaller than I expected.
Good breakfast, easy availability of city
Location, breakfast; price Noise of the gabage pickup each morning very early in the morning
Very friendly and helpful staff, warm and clean rooms, a perfect break from the cold outside.
Convenient location, bar, tea/coffee facilities in room Reception desk always very busy; building overheated & poorly ventilated; ensuite badly designed, inconvenient and unsafe; expensive.
Breakfast Very tinny bath
I liked best the very light and warm accessories of the bed, it was really excellent. The light in the room was quite poor
The position is excellent! 3 min walking to the central station and the main shopping street. The breakfast is perfect, fresh stuff! The std rooms are small but well-organized. I thought the shower impossible but in fact it was more then good!
Location Rooms are ridiculously small, especially when I know I didi not have the smallest one !
Excellent hotel and staff. Excellent location.
Always nice cosy rooms, wonderful beds. Just downtown, but in the luxurious quiete part just by the water, Love this hotel They have taken away breakfast in the room and the espresso possibility in the morning.. only american coffee.
very good position
The view. One day it had not been cleaned. Another day I was promised a bycicle which was given to sombody else and my plan for that day was destroyed!!
Easy atmosphere / friendly personell / food choise was ok
Breakfast was not available due to unavailability of the hotel chef...
The location - the hotel is close to the waterfront and it was easy to walk to the Little Mermaid, the site of the old Kastell and the main Stroget shopping street.
The location is very good and the room is okay,
The location is perfect. Pretty big room. Very good breakfast While we were staying there was some sort of construction on the roof. They made a cargo elevator on the back of the building. So each morning we wre woken up with terrible sounds at 8 a.m. in the moning. We asked for extra bed in reservation comments, but it was not there when we arrived, so the kid had to sleep in our bad 1st night.
