Cons: They outright refused to honor the Kayak booking when I arrived in Ann Arbor. They said they were busy and management had instructed them not to honor online booking requests because of the demand even though I had a confirmed reservation. Honestly, I don't even think they check the Kayak bookings and just use it as a funnel to get people in the store without accounting for the actual online reservations in advance. Horrible experience and downright deceitful. I had to take a Greyhound bus from Ann Arbor home to see my family.

Car was not clean & the charges were very high for
Pros: Car and easy rental
Cons: I was informed that I will be charged for 1 hr additional for 15 min delay. However I was charged more than 50 % of the daily rental charge.
Also during pickup i have informed that i may delay in returning the car by one hour and the service personal said that he will accept the one hour delay without any additional charge. however i was charged as explained above.

Be ready to pay more
Pros: Parking lot is close to the rental office
Cons: I tried to reserve a full size car. The car was not ready (48 hours are not enough) instead they offered a smaller car for the same price. Then they offered a SUV for extra money. As I had no time to select another rental agency I had to accept the offer. As the result, I paid more for the car I did not reserve.

Better than renting from U-Haul
Pros: I rented a pick up to haul a few things. It cost the same to rent a truck for a day from Alamo as it would have cost me to rent a truck from U-Haul for four hours. The truck itself was gorgeous and brand new.
Cons: The person behind the counter was pleasant, but there was only one person manning the counter for three rental agencies. It took over a half hour to check out.

The office was closed
Pros: To get a refund, at least. The office was closed and nobody told me when I rented the car.
Spent an hour on this, getting there and getting back, talking on the phone with their operator, who took 10 min just to acknowledge that the office was closed, something that already knew.
And they did no offer me any thing helpful. At the end I spent so much time that I was not able to do what I wanted to do on the day.
And I payed two Uber.
Cons: Their lack of professionalism, renting cars in closed offices.

Cons: I went into Alamo the day of my reservation and they said they didn't understand how I was quoted the rate given on Kayak. They wanted to charge me $70 more. After arguing for a while, they agreed to reduce the price to the original quote, but not give me my second driver. I was very disappointed with their reservation system overall.

They cancelled at the last minute
Cons: The car was booked for 9am. They called at 8am to say they had no cars available. There needs to be greater communication between Kayak and the car rental companies because having to scramble for last minute travel plans the hour before we were meant to travel is a pain in the ***.

Cons: Hertz billed my AMEX card in an extremely erratic way, with $100 charges (presumably for the deposit) popping up on my account at odd times. At the time they closed out my rental, they were slow to remove those deposit charges from my AMEX.

Pros: I really appreciated that the lady who was helping didn't make us have to pay 10 dollars a gallon when we returned the car. She was very very helpful and understanding.
Cons: I didn't like how I paid for a Chrysler 300 or similar and I did it get the car that I wanted

Horrible service in this Ypsilanti Hertz office
Pros: Car was only 16K miles, Hyundai Sonata 2016 . This is good.
Cons: Absolutely horrible Pikcup-Dropoff experience. Hertz associate we met can not focus on client and make her work fast and effective way. She asks a lot of stupid questions which have no relations to car rental process, she left her desk at least 4 times to talk with someone in another room, as the result a routine procedure of a car pick up takes up to 25 (!!!) minutes. The same situation was with a car drop off.
I know this Hertz location several years - my advise to avoid to use it. By the way, pay a very special attention to the return day date. If it is Sunday - they will cheat you adding the Sunday as a hole rental day< actually they will steal your money. I've never met this practice in any other Hertz location

Cons: They wanted a credit card to pay the charge due and i can't pay it because i have a debit card.
So i did not have my car for the week end and i asked that they refund my money but i don't have any answer...

Pros: Lazy staff, they dont speak they just point at brochures and laminated policies for you to gain knowledge about there way of business. Debit card thing they dont tell you about is really annoying too. Staff seems like they have little knowledge of anything in life at all, nor do they seem to care about there job.
Cons: Hertz rental building interior was shotty looking, place was understaffed in general, will not ever go back, enterprise next door is night and day more helpful, quick, and valuable.

Great customer service!
Pros: The ease of which the folks behind the counter were able to help me.
Pros: Great people, good car for a road trip. Sorry that one way cars are so expensive, but I understand why!
Cons: Some surprise costs when I had an equipment problem, but a good compromise was made (I did not take their insurance but used my own). Their management was helpful and kind and shared expenses with me.

Fantastic gas mileage for a full size!

Pros: Everyone from the shuttle drivers to the people on the desk was friendly and helpful. Coming from Detroit from Florida in December was slightly traumatic. When i got to my car, Steve, had turned on the heater full blast. Steve is my favorite.
Cons: Next time I visit during the winter, I will upgrade to a sturdier car. The Mitsubishi Mirage I had was no match for the first snow storm of the season.
Cons: Made a reservation on Kayak and it was confirmed. Budget then called two hours later as we were about to pickup the car to tell us they actually had no cars available and there was nothing they could do for us. We then had to find a way to get to a location one hour away to rent a car which was extremely difficult because the reason we were renting a car was because our car had broken down.

Pros: friendly staff at both pick up and drop off, although Ann Arbor agent was unable to give me any refund for the problems she did give me numbers to call and follow up.
Cons: Windshield sprayer was not working, even after I bought and put in a gallon of washer fluid. This made driving very dangerous and I had to stop often to manually clean the windshield. Also, Easy Pass was registering even though I had the box closed and wanted to pay cash for tolls.
Cons: No clean cars available when I arrived. Was told they believed my reservation was cancelled and gave away my car. I arrived during business hours but was rushed out by the clerk. Ended up driving a dirty and old car for a week.
