Cons: I reserved a car well in advance. However, when I arrived to the airport, the shuttle did not pick us up and the customer service agent did not answer the phone. When we finally found our own transportation to the rental agency, the customer service agent said they were out of cars DESPITE HAVING A RESERVATION FOR OVER TWO WEEKS. We ended up waiting in the airport for 3 hours in the middle of the night until we finally found a car with another company for double the price we were guaranteed. Horrible customer service and horrible experience.

Cons: The $250 hold for 5 days after I returned the car made me nervous. But it was finally lifted

I will never rent from EZ again
Cons: I had a reservation set and confirmed, when i arrived to my destination, (at 4:00am) the shuttle was not there. I tried contacting EZ to find out the shuttle location, and i was told that no shuttle will be out to pick us because they do not have a car. I explained I had a reservation, and i was told, "yes ma'am we have your reservation, we do not have a car for you." They hung up, and nothing else was done to try to help or fix the situation! And with that alone, I have added EZ Rental Car to my banned list and I will never use them again. I'll also make sure to pass this word along to everyone i know so that's is clearly understood if my disappointment with them.

Cons: Walked in with paperwork for reservation. Customer service rep told me no cars, no help. Go to San Juan or go somewhere else. SAN Juan is over three hours away. She was rude and no help. Luckily the manager showed up when I was outside calling other places and she helped us. Then the price was over 150$ more then the online quote. Tire light was on they didn't care to even put air in the tires. I will never go back

Did not have vehicle reserved. Tried to price goug
Pros: Did not have vehicle we reserved 60 days in advance. Said others did not return vehicles on time. Tried to gouge us for nearly 2x the price the following day when a vehicle arrived.

Cons: No advance notice that my in order for their to accept my pre paid "debit card" I would have to accept Every extra item they offered,no matter if I needed or wanted it. I declined the offer and went to another company.
Cons: They force me to paid extra in which I end it up paying.

Smooth and quick!
Pros: Very efficient and they were waiting for us right outside the airport at 2am. We were off and driving in no time!! Highly recommend.
Cons: We didn't expect and extra $63 in fees which were not mentioned when we booked the car but overall we still felt it was a good deal.

I was swindled
Pros: The ease of being taken to the airport by shuttle. The process was quick and easy.
Cons: The quote I was given by Kayak was not what I was charged. When I got to the counter I was charged an extra 11% tax on top of the taxes and fees already quoted. When I asked about it woman told me I was charged tax because we were in Puerto Rico. I have been to PR many times and NEVER had to pay more than I was quoted. She then told me I would be charged a flat rate of $4.95 a day for use of the pass that allows you to ride the "Autopista". Fine. But, again, when I turned that car in I was charged tax on that as well. And again, I've never been charged tax for use of the Autopista pass. I don't know what kind of scam they have going on over there, but I will NEVER use them again.

Cons: Dennise, the cashier in charge of the transaction was rude and didn't give me enough information regarding the insurance. She charged me insurance for 2 days that I didn't need because I have my own, then she "reimbursed" is going to take two days for this so I'll have to look at my bank statement. She was unpleasant and had an attitude.

Never use Dollar in PR! Rip off!
Pros: Car itself was fine, no real problems with their inventory at this location.
Cons: This was a huge scam and I will never use this rental service again. I typically use Hertz but Dollar was quoted at $50 cheaper so decided to use them. Ended up paying $200 dollars more than what was quoted due to some unknown fees and taxes that should have been included in the quote under taxes and fees I would think. The woman working at the desk could not be bothered with trying to help us either, and we are really disappointed with our rental. I will 100% never be using Dollar again in the future.
Pros: I like how fast our issue was handled when the car we had rented died on the opposite side of the island. We had been stranded due to the condition of the vehicle and another location brought us a replacement car within half an hour.
Cons: When I first picked up the car there was an incredibly bad smell and a package of used condoms in the car. The engine would stutter when going uphill and the vehicle had stalled a few times while stopped for traffic lights. There were noises whenever we went around corners and a few other technical issues that did not make us feel safe. We were getting nervous about driving anywhere to go on our vacation adventures and sure enough, before we could call and complain, the car died on us for no reason out in the middle of nowhere.

Poor pick up and drop off/Horrible desk service
Cons: The guy who takes care of the paperwork was short staffed. He had a line coming out of the office. We had to wait almost a hour just to drop off the car.
On top of it all the van driver was no where to be found. We had to wait another half hour for him. He was in a car texting for the half hour he was MIA. He was offended when I honked the horn because we didn't want to miss our flight. I also had to put my luggage in the van. He had a bad attitude and seemed like he didn't want to work. I wish I would have taken his name so I can report him directly to the rental company.

Cons: The rate when u up when I wanted to keep the car for longer
Pros: The customer service rep was friendly and approachable. Picking up the car from the parking lot was very easy.
Cons: This car was not worth the money I spent. It was outdated, uncomfortable, did not run smoothly and the trunk was too small for our luggage. I requested an economy car and instead was given a compact car, and still charged for economy. I was quoted $20 less than what I was charged. I am extremely disappointed with Avis and will not rent from them again. This was my second rental in one month using kayak, and I had a much better experience with Dollar.

Cons: When I take the time to reserve a car, I expect that the car I reserve will be there. Not only was the truck I reserved not there, but they didn't have any trucks at all. Instead I spent my trip in a Kia which is not what I wanted or needed at all.
Pros: It was available . Here have been instances, with other companies, where even after making reservations the vehicles are not available due to high demand during the holidays.
Car was clean and in great working condition. Brand new.
Cons: The price increase because of the holidays. Ended paying $100 a day.

Pros: This is the worst experience I've had. I reserved a convertible car two days in advance to pick up at BQN at 12pm I call to confirm at 10am and the receptionist said they dont have conv, and that the SJU (which is 2 hours away from BQN) office is sending a jeep in exchange for the conv. When I arrived at their terminal the vehicles available where 2 and in very dirty and smoking smell, and the jeep that was coming from the 2 hour drive was just an 1 hour and half still away, this is a disrespect for a company that calls themself organized, the receptionist rented me a hyndai tucson, which when I returned left a bag with some gifts under the drivers seat trying to secure it at the hotel parking, and when I called 30 minutes after returning the car BQN said the car was in its way to SJU and that there was no way to contact the driver in his 2 hour drive. It's this possible? And the SJU phones when I called no one answered, it's been a week after I contact both office, which gave a lame excuse saying they can't find the vehicle, I mean you don't know where the hell is you fleet? You can't track the damm vehicle and it's yours, I am sure the items where on the vehicle, you said it's not responsible for items left in vehicle, well its human to error, just like they did when the error on not telling me they did not have conv, and were not on time to delivered. they don't know how to respond to my missing items and have not got the pants to a least make a courtesy call to say what happened. This is a bad experience and I will not recommended based on this experience, and I do write and travel very often.
