We enjoyed the central location and the privacy that the hotel afforded. The staff were very helpful and it was quiet at night.
Good, cheap accommodation for a quiet break in summer/autumn. Surrounded by nice mountain views and friendly pubs and restaurants (so different from Paris!) The beds were quite hard, and although the room had a nice kitchenette there wasn't any basic supplied like dishwashing liquid or coffee sachets (but easily fixed by a trip to the supermarket)
Availability of fridge and kitchenette in the room, good price, locked stroage for bicycles. Location a bit far from the station without a car, although a bus stop was available just outside the door,
Secure car parking was the reason we used this hotel and that was excellent. It was a gated car park underneath the hotel and and the car spaces were large enough to park a medium sized family car The room was relatively small and the kitchen facilities were very limited-there was no kettle and no large cups or mugs for drinks. There was a fridge and a 2 ring hob. When we stayed the temperature was in the 30's and the lack of airconditioning was a minus.
The attendant very kindly allowed us to check into the hotel before 16:00. The hotel was quiet and close to the downtown core. Hotels guests are not generally permitted to book in before 16:00h - a great inconvenience. The room was very dirty. There was no dishdetergent nor any dishclothes or dishtowels with which to clean dishes. The dishes were dirty. Hotel users are not likely to bring these items with them, and these should be provided.
area it was in Breakfast not available early at 7.30and then couldnt check out at 8am
Information about parking should be clearer because unless i understood incorrectly we were advised that our car with roof box would not fit so we had to leave it parked on the main road outside.
Hotel in a excellent position, with off road parking. Staff did not turn up until we had to phone them.
Design, Top service. Everything was perfect. Its longtime I haven't fell so well in a hotel!!! No complaints at all.
A very elegant apartment, well planned and laid out with all sorts of gizmos - living flame gas fire, big screen TV, iPod, etc The apartment is not actually near the hotel. We arrived at a locked door with a note telling us to call them. They said they would be round to let us in in 15 minutes - we sat on the street till let in. The owner treated us as complete morons in expecting to be let in quicker. And was agresive towards us. Not a happy experience and left us disillusioned with he place, even though the apartment itself was very nice.
Friendly, luxurious great place to stay in a beatifull village.
Very central with secure parking, helpful staff, comfortable and welcoming reception area Our room was very small with a small double bed even though it was furnished attractively in alpine style. Breakfast basic, should have been part of the room price. Only one small lift.
Location Yes. One of our rooms was infested with cockroaches. The bathroom smelled unpleasantly.
Central location, ease of booking No
Wonderful charm. Free internet use on hotel computer. Highly recommended.
Excellent location right in the city center of Chambéry -- main attractions and the old city is right at the doorstep of the hotel. Very friendly, helpful staff. Not expensive, great for a city trip weekend!
Design, decocaration. It is really beautiful and in city centre. That staff does not speak English.
Although receptionstaff were friendly and helpful, our stay was spoiled by the attitude of the staff at breakfast where we got the distinct impression that we were not specially welcome,
A pleasant, traditional feel and ambiance, combined with good facilities and very friendly staff. Really good lack of a restaurant
The location of the hotel was very good. I thought our room was adequate but fairly expensive for the standard. Plenty of hot water but the bathroom was in great need of refurbishment. I found the bed uncomfortable.
Nice hotel right in the centre of the town
Its location Breakfast
Had a great Time - stafdf was lovely - really appreciated the beatiful breakfast with a good choice - loved the poool too !! We will come back !! On a tout apprecie, l'hotel le staff , la petite piscine et aussi le cadre tres roimantique et très agreable !! Merci pour tout , ov va surmente raccomander votre Hotel Andrea - Italie
Room was large and well furnished with a spacious bathroom. Restaurant food was particularly good with an excellent, creative and innovative chef. One of the best meals we have eaten anywhere Difficult to find, final section of driveway hazardous, Room service drinks etc very expensive
staff for their help and assistance. Cost of dinner - more than the room. re question below - yes but don't eat.
The restaurant was excellent. The welcome wasn't very friendly, but other staff were nice.
We did not have much time to explore around the hotel or the facilities, the room was very comfortabel and quality of the bed was great. We did not stay for Breakfast but it seem little expensive at 20 Euro p.p for continantial breakfast.
Beautitul hotel, great bathroom! Poor selection at breakfast, not great value for money at 15 euros. Facilities to make a drink in your room would have been nice. No shower.
20 Euros per person for the breakfast was far too much, more than 15 Euros can not be justified, also for such a hotel I also expected better foreign language skills.
The restaurant was excellent. The hotel appears to be mostly a good restaurant with room attached. This is fine for a single overnight stay but not for three nights. The facilities in the room were poor - no tea/coffee facilities, no note paper, no room service etc. The attitude of the hotel staff left a lot to be desired. The attitude of the restaurant staff was, however, excellent.
Extremely good food, but expensive. Poor english spoken people. Very romantic room. We informed in before our engagement should be at the hotel during our stay. No "extra" from the hotel at all (glas of champagne, extra flowers at our table etc)
The reception desk staff were excellent The restaurant staff were awful. We were shown to our table then ignored for 20 minutes while people who came in after us were served drinks & had their orders taken. We left & found a very nice restaurant in the town centre.
We enjoyed a restful and relaxed stay at this modern, comfortable hotel. Reception was extremely helpful, speaking perfect English and our room was spacious, very clean and well decorated. We look forward to our next visit in 2011.
Very efficient for business purposes. Right size of room and quite. Located near the industrial area but also at short distance of Chambery. Service as it should be, nice people!
Nice big room. Good place opposite the train station.
Efficient, practical, room clean and comfortable, buffet easy to access, garage convenient Pity there is no restaurant for dinner at the hotel, but room service was available and the restaurant outside was very close to the hotel, so it was not a major problem.
Location was great. Breakfast was not included.
The hotel was very convienently located opposite train station and was a short walk to the charming town centre. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was nice size and had everything you would need.
Close to train station I felt prices of meals especially breakfast and drinks was too high
Check-in took less than a minute. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and warm.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was excellent. My wife would have liked tea making facilities in the room.
It's a unique place in the heart of Chambery with parking facilities..Large rooms with antic furniture and paintings. Bathroom is large and renovated. Big flat screen TV and DVD player.Philippe and Edith were really lovely people. Good breakfast..Highly recommended accommodation. Nothing.
Enjoyed our stay very much, we were made most welcome and everything was spotlessly clean. Our room was very spacious. We particularly enjoyed the violin solo at breakfast - thank you, Philipe! Took a little time to find, but well worth the search!
very clean hotel with nice antique furnitures. The owner (couple) were very friendly, kind and helpful. Their hospitality were so good!! I would stay there if I visit Chambery.
The peace and quiet!! It was a central location as well. No comment in this aspect.
The warmth, graciousness, helpfullness and hospitality of our hosts was incomparable. The room was large and quite comfortable. The bed was also perfectly comfortable. the bathroom was spacious with two sinks and a very nice shower. The hotel is right in the heart of the old city in a gorgeous old building that contributes to a fine feeling for "place." Can't say enough good things about it.
Clean and conveneant and not too expensive
clean, comfortable - perfect for a stopover on way to ski resort
Friendly staff - very clean hotel - good value for money Not easy to find - directions on the booking information should be better - location is not good - you need to stay on site or drive to find a good restaurant - but the the theme of Campanile
The room was nicely warm for our arrival on a cold night. The secure parking, (the gates are locked at night). The hotel is undergoing modernisation in certain areas, chiefly the restaurant area which appeared to affect the choice available for breakfast.
This is a good place to spend the night if you passes by Chambery. Do not spend time searching for resturants in the town Chambery. We were there at a sunday and hardly found any places to eat. It is better to use the hotel restaurant. They have a WI FI net at the hotel. Maybe the hotel personall should try to speak a little english.
This is an ideal location for a one night stay. The evening meal and the breakfast were both good.
Quiet and pleasant. Good staff No
Good bed size restaraunt on site easy to find kettle in room No cnn, or other english channels on tv some road noise
Clean, easy access. Staff were there when needed. Location very good, bars, restaurants, shops, railway/bus station easy walking distance.
Placed just in the historical center of the town. Noisy by night due to several bars open till very late. Difficult access by car and complicated parking in the hotel entrance even just for dropping the baggages.
Helpful staff with a very pleasant disposition It was a good average standard for its price range.
Right in cetre of town with public carpark just round corner Old fashioned decor and not a particularly attractive room
difficult to find and access by car
All expectations met and exceeded, helpful friendly staff
Staff pleasant and helpful with secure parking, route-finding etc. Very good location in old town. Shower didn't work properly, general run-down air of decor etc. Continental breakfast greatly over-priced at 9 euros each. Very difficult to find.
Very central. No holder for the shower
The location in the center of Chambery was excellent. The old city was extremely walkable from the front door of the hotel. Bathroom trash can was not emptied and was unsanitary. We dumped it ourselves. We switched rooms because the first one was a sofa bed, with the foot of the bed one foot higher than the head of the bed.
The staff was adequate. The location was good. Kind of a rundown shabby place, the next night I stayed in Milan and for approx 20 Euros more I stayed in a 4 star hotel with large inclusive breakfast
Close to motorway and inexpensive. Very basic as expected from the price but the bed needed replacing and the room temperature control didn't work and was set too high for comfort.
Closed after 21hs. Small rooms, very small bathroom. Air conditioned not working.
Hotel was adequate for cost of room Credit card accepted for payment on internet was not accepted by hotel & had to ring France & remake booking
Location - close to road crossings. Value for money - convenient price.
Budget price. Just adequate for stop over en-route. Worth paying a bit more for better. Cramped, shabby (but not chique).
asked for disabled room and was given room so small could hardly get into room. very, very uncomfortable
Impossible to get back object left one week before
Situation nearby highway; parking place Checking in late at night was not easy. There should be better instructions outside the gate. We are non smokers but the room did not smell fresh.
Cheap room and breakfast Room was clean but shabby - no soap in dispenser, no sheet on top bed, remote control held together with tape, plastic safety guard on top bunk broken. Other Premiere Classe hotels have been in much better shape - conditions obviously vary by hotel.
nothing room smelled of sanitizer until door left open long enough for it to disperse leaving a smell of dogs! walls grey with age -room needs urgent redecoration. toilet flush broke during stay - not typical of Premiere Classe hotels which we often use and are always clean and good value for money
near to the motorway, but not very noisy. Good for one night stay with teenagers. Fair price to book a second room for children. difficult to find, as the name of the street just nearby on the other side of the rode as well
A very basic type of accomodation in an industrial environment. Even with GPS it is very difficult to find.
Adequate for stopover. Clean room and good size bed. Very noisy. Noise from other guests moving outside the building and within. Slamming doors etc late at night and early in the morning disturbed sleep. Convienently located for over night stop.
It was cheap! Basic rooms with small bathroom and TV. Plenty of parking on site. The location is a few km from the main city of Chambery so you would need to drive to get to restaurants/sights.
The bed was clean and comfortable. Luckily it was just an overnight stop. Very difficult to find as the hotels own roadside signs took us in completely the wrong direction! Room was rather tatty and restaurant was closed for 3 weeks. Also stayed at FastHotel, Reims Tassy later on this trip which is very nice indeed and a lovely room but this one is in need of an update.
Good price for an overnight stay - takes dogs which is very important for a great many people and often hard to find. Rooms are small but very clean and practical - for the price an excellent find. We arrived early on the Saturday and could not check in using the automatic system which rejected our booking reference, our name and our credit card information for early check in. The sign did say through the week, staff were there but at weekends not until early evening , it was about 5.30pm. Staff arived then and we were checked in at that time, but it was a shame we had to drive about for a few hours as we had a car full of suitcases etc and didn't want to leave the car packed.
--- Very humid room. Humid bedsheets.Smell of mould. Incredibly small plastic shower/toilet, very tiny room itself (we had a "tripple"one). Unfriendly french stuff. On breakfast It was aloud to take only ONE croissant per person.
Food was ok Poor location by noisy cement works
