All staff at the hotel were friendly and attentive - which is hard to come by in Cartagena. The rooms and hotel overall were clean and comfortable, simple but nothing less than you need for a great stay. The view from the pool, upwards to the balconies of the building which are covered in plants and flowers, is beautiful. Breakfast is delicious with plenty of options and a good size too. We wish we could have stayed longer. We will return to this hotel if we stay in Cartagena again. The wifi dropped out from time to time - which was a mild inconvenience. They have a shared desktop computer in a public room next to the pool which has reliable internet, we used this when we were desperate.
Nice hotel. quite expensive but this is the norm in cartagena. staff is great.
The location was convenient, and the hotel was cute. The bed itself was the weakest point of the hotel. The slats in the bed frame collapsed several times, and there weren't blankets.
The staff is great and the hotel is beautifully maintained. It has nice decor and lots of personal touches. The pool is very clean and is refreshing during the hot Cartagena days. Breakfast is wonderful too! We loved Hotel Casa Gloria! And would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, clean midrange hotel in the Walled City of Cartagena. You will feel right at home and will enjoy your experience.
Location The room was very small. It was advertised as a 4 star accommodation but I would argue a 2 star max. In addition the room had no hot water for shower neither cable signal. The night before we stayed in a 2 star that had better services and breakfast.
Perfect location in scenic old-town, delicious breakfast included, pool and jacuzzi available at all times, and incredibly helpful staff (special thanks to Juliet). Two adorable talking parrots, too. Nothing. This hotel was great.
The hotel is located within easy walking distane of the centro historico. The administrator is wonderful and makes everyone feel at home, which is exactly what staying here is like--spending the night at your friend's family home in Cartagena. It's an old house, so you can hear noise form the street, and the accomodations are comfortable but not luxurious.
