We were surprized to see so stylish and clean place as 3-star Hotel. New furniture, large light rooms, beautiful bathroom (with fullsize bath), big balcony. Wonderfull staff (clean towels every day) and 50 meters to the seafront. Wireless internet only near the reception.
Cigaret smel every morning,
Excellent location close to the beach and restaurants yet in a quiet street. Free parking essential in Cadeques. Very clean and comfortable with a good breakfast. No
Very friendly atmosphere and relaxing. The staff were very attentive. the garden area had lovely views of the ocean and the nearby beaches.
The room was very clean and spacious and I was impressed that when i requested a 'double' room, we were not given 2 single beds pushed together! We also really enjoyed the beautiful sea view.
I consider that a small fridge would be a really useful equipment to be included in the rooms (especially for the customers visiting the hotel during the summer period)
We liked the spaciousness and the comfort of the hotel room for our party of three adults. We liked its location - close to public transport and close to the old city. The receptionist when we arrived was a little offhand but later in the week, when I came down to pay our bill, she remembered my name - which is very good considering there were lots of other people staying.
Poor Breakfast and badly organised
We liked the central location. Cadaques is a place where you want to park your car and leave it there until you leave. When we stayed in Cadaques previously, we stayed at the Rocamar, high on the hill, and spent quite a bit of time walking up and down that hill. From our balcony at Hotel Octavia we could see a sliver of the bay, which was a very short walk from our room. The room rate was very reasonable, the bathroom was spacious with nice tile work, and breakfast and parking were included in the rate. Also, the internet connection in the lobby was very good.
It's position in relation to the town and the beach. It had been refurbished and freshly/ stylishly decorated. Secure car parking off road. Quality of tea and coffee at breakfast very disappointing (watery and little flavour). More choice of cereals would have been appreciated.
very helpful and friendly staff. close to bus station but still close to beach. room was small but was given a choice of a larger room but that did not have a balcony.
Easy to find. Helpful pleasant staff.
Room and hotel spotlessly clean, staff were pleasant. Room was reaonably sized, particularly for Europe. Visited in the off season, so not sure about breakfast facilities, etc.
Very friendly and helpful owners/staff; super clean!!!, good air conditioning and a convenient location with parking outside! Basic but perfectly acceptable.
It was exactly as described on the web page.
Breakfast Very sterile, almost spartan.
V ery friendly staff, very clean and good value for money.
The friendliness of the staff
Nice quiet hotel, friendly owners and staff.
helpful and friendly staffcomfortable though not luxurious room corridor lighting
Nice see view looking rooms, friendly stuff
Staff efficient and kind; parking; services; hotel calm Water of swimming pool very cold
Easy to locate, convenient to town centre shops, bars and restaurants, very relaxing. Best of all it was quiet. Charge for essential car parking.
The seaside view of Cadaqes from the room balcony was excellent. It was not a big problem though, TV's remote control needed a bit of trick to use.(Once we found out how to use, it was OK.)
Perfect position, fantastic & our room was lovely overlooking the river. Breakfast was very good. Wasnt impressed with bath towels.
very pleasant hotel, good position right on the sea front. Parking available (daily charge for this). Good swimming pool. Normally this would have been an excellent choice of hotel in Cadaques. Definitely not the hotel's fault but the promenade at Cadaques is being rebuilt, is way over time -- there was no access along the front to the centre for anyone who is disabled. The new works don't look promising for wheelchair friendly/buggy ramps judging from the work which has been finished in the town.
Location was good. The pool area was nice, as was the breakfast. Free Internet also on offer. No notice given of road works outside hotel.they also charged 10 eur / night for parking.
excelent position, friendly staff but the hotel is a little bit older
Superb pleasant staff, nice facilities
Friendly and efficient service; delicious breakfast, excellent choices available; relaxing pool and garden environment Freshly squeezed fruit juice not available for breakfast
Very well designed hotel and therefore relaxing
Comfort and cleanliness was excellent Service at breakfast was poor
Very nice people at the reception and at breakfast.Good breakfast. Close to Dali's house at Port Lligat and to the Cap Creus nature researve.
The location The Breakfast, was very disorganised, almost no food, not prepared to accomodate the number of guests.
Good quality design, spacious and clean. Very good restaurant. Too far from town centre if you don't have a car. Restaurant closed on Sunday and Monday.(no notification of this) Nowhere nearby to eat at night.
Reception was very helpful and friendly upon check-in, and the room was clean and comfortable. The included breakfast was excellent and offered a wide variety of choices. Nice quiet location about a kilometer out of Cadaques. A 15 minute walk to the Dali house in Port Lligat.
Friendliness of all staff. Clean, modern, functional decor. Location excellent.Breakfast beside pool very enjoyable.
Comfortable rooms, nice pool, good restaurant. Isolated - good if you like that sort of thing but there are no facilities or shops or restaurants nearby and Cadaques is a 10 minute drive or 30 minute walk away.
Staff attitude: extremely friendly. Very comfortable bed and above all pillow. Pretty location, breakfast next to the pool ideal. It is the middle of November and therefore very low season. However, the hotel could not offer a variety of drinks and their bar was not really open.
Friendliness of staff and accommodations A little far from the center of town.
The staff were nice and very helpful. The hotel has got a good car park. The hotel has a very convenient location - a few minutes walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. The way the hotel rooms are built makes it extremely noisy, we couldn't get a proper sleep as you could literally hear people breathing in the next room. The beds were very uncomfortable as well.
Hotel Ubaldo is a simple, spotlessly clean, with decent-sized room and bathroom hotel. Our room had air-con, which worked well, and the shower in the bathroom was also good. Our bed was comfortable, although the pillows were rather hard for our taste. We had no problems at all. all was perfect
Very clean and handsome hotel with big rooms you never expect to get for the price you pay. Great location in the old town (3 minutes to walk to the seaside) with a nice snackbar at the end of the street on the lefthand side. Strongly recommend because it works in the morning time and it is really nice (hotel does not serve breakfast but it is not a problem). Free parking.
Very nice hotel: big rooms, friendly stuff, very clean, free parking, close to the sea. I would definitely stay there again.
The hotel was basic but clean and comfortable with free parking nearby.
excellent value, really comfortable, really clean
This is a cute hotel, exceedingly clean and secure. Nice sized room, with tiny balcony overlooking a street. Accessed via a short set of steps on a scenic walkway up towards the cathedral. Would like wi fi maybe? Otherwise, perfect within its price range.
Secure but open air parking nearby.
The staff could not have been more helpful or genuine. It was a basic en-suite bedroom, very clean and very suitable to our holiday. A minor point, but we missed not having a kettle & cups in the room.
Location was lovely, main problem was lack of bar or restaurant. To far to walk to town and impossible to park there due to extensive roadworks. Hence our swift departure. Did not see anywhere in hotel details that there were no facilities, for food or drink. Also garden and hotel rather "tired" See above
Good views and walking location to Main centre of Cadaques. Helpful staff.
The staff was very accommodating and helpful. The room was pretty basic, but it was clean and pleasant.
It was quiet and well appointed for walking to the town. The staff spoke English and were helpful. The swimming pool was empty. I imagined a solarium to be an enclosed, sheltered place for sunbathing but it was just the open roof.
It was a small well run family hotel with good breakfast and friendly staff Being the winter period the resturant was not open
the staff is great. a nice and charming place to stay in!
Nice clean modern decor, restful, excellent pool, quiet location, good exercise walking to Cadaques! No evening restaurant - not a problem for us, but some might see it as a problem.
Great quiet location, right near the house of Salvador Dali. Very relaxed atmosphere. We had comfortable and quite spacious room with balcony with great view to the sea over the swimming pool. Helpful and pleasant staff. Not too far to the city centre of Cadaques - but be prepared to walk.
The staff were all lovely - offering to make reservations for us and helping with internet. Very close to Dali house and beach. arrived 9.30pm. No restaurant open. Advised to walk to tapas and another restaurant. Got there - all closed. Nothing else in walking distance so had to drive into Cadaques. Not the end of thw world but we were tired.
Staff are helpful. I forgot one bag at the bus terminal and Isabelle drove me to pick it up.
The bed and AC were fine. No restaurant serving proper meals.Doors all locked overnight and we were worried about fire hazard risks in the night as my wife is handicapped for walking. We were on an upper floor with no lift and there were many stairs up to reception.Breakfast starting hour of 8,30 was extremely inconvenient and no renbate was offerted for the price of 2 breakfasts paid for many weeks in advance due their No Cancellation policy. The night before our arrival they were offering a double room online for 105 euros but we paid them in advance 125,50 for our room - not clever. This hotel should improve its dining facilities and it would appeal to many more people than it does nhow as after all the location is superb.
Due to the room having a glass sliding door onto a balcony, lots of lovely natural light came into the room. The hotel felt like a home as we could walk in and out at ease. The staff did any checks very well (like checking one night when we returned, that we were actually guests because the person hadn't seen us before and we hadn't left the room key with them).
The location is perfect, in front the beach and with a great Cadaques view. Yes, to enjoyed breakfast at the tables outside, they charge tree Euros.
The beautiful views, and the lovely breakfast. Not much really.
The hotel hotel is in a secluded part of town and has lovely views from the front rooms. Very noisy if children staying - laminate wood floors everywhere and very echoic. Very basic rooms for a stay of more than 2/3 days.
everything in particular access to local town
Overall setting and the helpfulness of desk staff. Lack of dining service other than breakfast. (off season)
Staff very friendly good value for the Area. Nice and Quiet Bar and other facilities not alway available
Wonderful hotel in a fantastic location. Great and helpful staff. The sea view from the balcony is breathtaking.
The staff was extremely helpful, polite and always ready to assist. The location was perfect. I have grandchildren who
location, view, breakfast
Everything was as it needed to be, we were very happy with our choice. The hotel was basic but very well thought out, with nice, clean rooms, easy access to the town (very short walk), and a friendly face on the front desk. The only drawback is the hotel's proximity to a nightclub: this was only an issue on the Friday night, when the noise made it hard to sleep. This really is the only negative though.
Proximity to downtown Cadaques. If you stay at the Hostalet, you do not need to negotiate the mountains of Cadaques. At times during the day, particularly during Siesta, and after 800 PM, the reception area would be unmanned and the door closed. Visitors won't be able to enter, because the outside door would be closed. No phones in the rooms.
The hotel couldn't be more central and was perfect as a base for visiting Cadaques. The rooms were clean and comfortable although we spent most of the time out walking and sampling the local delights.
We liked the location of l'Hostalet, just off the center of town on a street with restaurants and a nice cafe/bakery that seemed open at all times. The hotel feels tucked away and does not have views of the lovely town. Our room (#8), up two flights of narrow stairs, was small with a comfortable bed and a miniature balcony with a built-in seat. The hotel is modern and clean with good lighting and adequate electrical outlets. The bathroom had a nice shower, the world's smallest sink and heated towel bar/ room heater. The built-in closet was small but workable for two people, but there is little space to put your luggage and not enough hangers. The room was cleaned daily by the friendly staff who guided us to a free parking spot. We visited in the off-season during October (when very strong winds blow from the mountains to the sea) and had to call the staff to meet us at the hotel. Bring a cell phone on your trip or be prepared to loose euros to the public phones in the town square trying to figure out how to call the hotel.
very new and clean room rooms are very small for the price
- Very friendly people - nicely designed rooms - hotel provides ear plugs - nice touch - Noisy... Other guests are easily heard in the hallways - too bad no view of the water - but a quiet off the path street is nice too
swimming sight seeing
Beautiful new hotel in a gorgeous little town. Shower leaked a little
Very simple and comfortable room, very relaxed space and great location n/a
The place was just a block to the beach and center of town. It is located on an alley above several small restaurants. We were there for 1 night midweek and the noise was not a problem. Great food and entertainment steps away. Very helpful staff and good wifi. The room size may be disappointing for some people, but Cadaques is no ace to be spending time in your room!
very helpful staff, small but very clean and comfortable rooms
The hotel was clean and friendly. For a 2 star hotel I was impressed with the air conditioning and lift. It was also well located. No really bad points.
A bit noisy from traffic.
The Staff and the room was pleasant The noise fromthe main road
Cleanliness; air conditioning. The main staff member we dealt with seemed to be in a very bad mood all the time. Another was very helpful though.
Very friendly greeting, extremely clean and spacious room, quiet location, convenient to arrival at the bus station, and short easy walk to town.
Very nice and very clean hotel for a reasonably priced room in Cadaques. I would definitely stay there again. The proprietors were very friendly and accomodating.
Friendly, helpful staff, who offered great restaurant choices! Good location, close enough to walk to water. Nice bathroom! Hard beds.
Stayed here because of it's Proximity to the bus station. Great staff clean room a little noisy during day but quiet at night. Five minute walk to Harbour and restaurants.
