Good sized room, great location, wifi was solid too Rooms a bit outdated and cheaper. Could've used more amenities.
It was a pleasant, comfortable hotel, very central and convenient with tasteful luxurious decor.
You couldn't ask for a better, more convenient location Parking is ridiculously expensive; the layout of the 700-wing of the hotel is ludicrously confusing; the room is small for the price you pay, and the bathroom is tiny.
Hotel is right at the centre of town, excellent quiet room, really good breakfast in lovely dining room, other commenters suggested breakfast is expensive , it is not cheap but for full breakfast is no more expensive than other places in town. Basement garage is expensive but secure, awkward to get into from the narrow entry road but worth the expense.
such a comfortable and warm hotel. I would definitely stay here again (especially if we are given any discount for future stays!)
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.
I have stayed at this hotel before and the location, ambience and value for money is the big attraction. The breakfast is excellent with many english favourites alongside the continental selection. Nothing
excellent location, very well kept, staff are exceptional can be a bit noisey
Very close to the main square. Priced appropriately and within walking distance to most points of interest.
Brilliant location, rooms nice and warm, very clean. On the second day we got up late and their was no hot water for the shower, bed wasnt that comfortable.
Location and standard of accomodation
Location was perfect for exploring the area. Staff were extremely friendly and helpfull and Hotel in general was spot on. For a short stay it's well worth a look and could not be faulted Breakfast was a little pricey
close proximity to centre of town and good breakfasts provided
ample and comfortable room, good location, excellent breakfast the swimming pool was broken: we were told that it would have been fixed the day after our arrival but it hadn't all over our stay (six days) at the hotel
Frindly and helpful staff no
Nice room, nice and warm bar with exellent beers made in Bruges and around, very kind staff, located in the heart of a beatifull picturesque romantique town.
good friendly hotel. clean decor @ welcoming atmosphere a bit off the beaten track. no dining facilities
Location. Breakfast Room was too small. And too hot. No A /C
Central location, clean accommodation, good breakfast & friendly staff. Whilst we had no complaints about this hotel we did wonder how it had 4 star rating when it had very basic facilities and no restaurant.
towels too small! towels too small My room was over the pond in the gardena nd I left window open and I got bitten by the mosquitos ( or whatever) - quite badly on the first night -
Great size rooms and large comfy beds. Also it is within easy walking distance to all attractions and car parking available on site.
I thought the hotel was good value for money, not too far from the centre of the town. In a town as small as Bruges it was ideal to be able to park the car at the hotel during our stay. did not get good directions on how to get there, better information would have stopped me driving in circles for 3/4 hour looking for the hotel
Booked a double room did not realise you needed to specifly if you wanted a double bed or two singles. We got two singles pushed together. As they where fully booked we where unable to move. Only a minor point , just put in the notes when you book
The staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. The location was central. The breakfasts were very good - nice choices. No.
Very friendly reception and helpful. Good location, comfortable rooms and safe parking for our car without the hassle of feeding machines.
The location was excellent and the availability of parking was a real plus. Ability to check in early on arrival day was also a plus. Staff at reception were very helpful, and knowledgeable. Swimming pool was too cold - to the point of not being usable. This is a pretty big negative as the pool was a main reason to book this hotel. Breakfast was ok but not great. Bar was a little impersonal. Decor around common areas of hotel was bland and lifeless.
Excellent hotel - pleasant, helpful staff and clean, well presented room. Briiliant location near the main square.
The hotel was spotlessly clean and there was a good choice for breakfast. Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The pool and sauna were ideal for relaxing after a day's sightseeing and the hotel was centrally located only 2 minutes from market square.
Very friendly and helpful staff, would recommend the hotel to other people.Would like to stay there in the future.
perfect location, excellent breakfast
breakfast no bacon
Cleanliness, Staff polite, pleasant and efficient
The lovely history and decor and surroundings and comfortable room within easy walking distance to the main area of town Nothing!
The hotel staff was excellent and ensured our stay had no problems.
A beautiful hotel, well decorated and adorned with antiques that gave it that period feel. The position was also perfect, adjacent to the main Squares and on the bank of the canal, not to mention some very nice bars on all sides! The canal view rooms are worth the extra and the breakfast first class.
The Garden view room gave us a very comfortable night in peaceful surroundings.
Drinking in the bar on return to the hotel late evening - informed conversation from staff Paid parking offered was too far from hotel
Location and facilities were wonderful. Hotel on a canal with small square nearby with cafes. Very convenient to Markt Square. Hotel has Old World charm. Delphine at front desk was very helpful. Definitely would stay there again. Our room was quite small - #24- with a small window and not much light. The tub/shower did not have a shower shield on it.
Central location, super spacious room and prompt service Nothing to not like at all!!
Quiet, but only 5 minutes from "the centre". Wonderful breakfast, charming oldie world feel. Staff at reception very helpful. Only thing missing was the in room tea/coffee facilities.
We loved the character of this hotel, and the friendliness of the staff. it was in a quiet location, but still close to everything. it was very special.
nice area, close to centre, private parking (but not free). no value for money. The hotel looks like it could use some renovations. Bathroom not clean. Breakfast buffet poor, no value for money.
convience and lovely cosi atmosphere welcoming staff
Thought the location was excellent, staff were very helpful and the bathroom was lovely with a large comfortable bath. No complaints whatsoever
location: easy access to the centrre- attractive, well-appointed newly refurbished room with direct access to street. short on facilities - no bar, no obvious presence of staff on arrival - apart from helpful adnd attentive receptionist
Overall the hotel was very clean and tidy and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room always had a lingering smell of cigarette smoke which meant that the windows had to be always left opened, because of this our sleep was disturbed by the noise of traffic on the road below our window.
The comfortable room and the location in the centre of Bruges within easy reach of the market square and many restaurants.
Nice Hotel and friendly staff but not really 4* standards. Parking was convienient and very central.
Well placed location near to the city centre, helpful staff, nice room and fair value for money. Tea and coffee were available in the lounge during the day but it would have helped to have this explained on arrival as there were no facilities for making hot drinks in the bedroom.
We were traveling with 4 adults and 2 kids so rented the 3 bedroom apartment. It was very large, perfect for our needs. Kitchenette with refrigerater was great to keep cold drinks available. Very clean. And the staff were very helpful and gave great information about places to eat and shopping areas. I will definitely stay here again. The parking at the hotel was limited and very small. Our SUV did not fit through the entrance. But there was a public parking garage with very reasonable daily rates that was a short walk down the street. So this was not a problem at all.
Proximity to city centre no bar
very good location, pleasant and helpful staff. very clean and bright rooms.would recommend thankyou for a very pleasant stay. no complaints
Loved that in the apartment we were able to stay together as a family and still be so close to the city center...many times the more spacious the room, the farther from the action. Not so at the Hotel Aragon! Had a lovely stay, would have loved to have stayed longer...literally 2 minutes walk from the Brugge's lovely square. If you are driving a "people mover", you might want to consider alternatives to the hotel's parking (especially in the low season when parking may be available on the street). The hotel parking is very nice and well-protected, but getting into the extremely tight entrance is difficult at best! Was a great stay and will return each time I come to Brugge.
The staff were very warm & made us feel very welcome. We loved the style of the house very traditional with modern luxuries. The breakfast was great every morning. We were made to feel very special & it felt very exclusive whilst still feeling comfortable & homely. A very unique place to stay. Wasn't a problem for us but the stairs were very steep to the rooms, but that is what you would expect with such an old house. Just wouldn't recommend for anyone elderly or with walking difficulties & don't get too drunk as you won't get up them ;-)
Beautiful surroundings; elegant house; tranquil courtyard to sit in;modern bathroom and all very clean and tasteful. Efficient hostess who speaks fluent English and French and was prepared to house our food in the refrigerator! You can help yourself to tea or coffee and make yourself at home. Red Michelin to consult! Perfectly situated for visiting Bruges with nearby underground parking... Very steep stairs so not suitable for young children or the elderly
Ubication. Room design and comfort. Beautiful hotel, a most enjoyable experience. Pillows too hard, more like square cushions than pillows in fact.
breakfast, staff, location, decor, open fire ,able to have use of kitchen would have liked full length mirror /dress mirror.it was a bit cold during the day
Quiet, peaceful location, beautiful room, friendly, thoughtful staff who were attentive but not overattentive. The wooden floors, though beautiful to look at, were not so good at muffling the footfall of other guests. The stairs to the rooms were very steep - not suitable for the elderly.
The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The rooms were beautiful. The breakfast was delicious.
Excellent service, wonderful people in a very convivial environment, which gives you the impression of coming home. Rather than lots of hotels which are interchangeable, Number 11 is unique in both people and environment. Highly recommended. Nothing at all. One side note, please be advised that if you need to unpack your car, as we did, the roads of Bruges are very narrow indeed.
The service and attention to detail was outstanding. Nothing was to much trouble. The staff and owner were very friendly and we will be staying at this guest house again. It was wonderful.
The guesthouse quality was amazing, and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. A magical place, highly recommended.
The house is lovely and the garden a great area to sit quietly in the city centre
Kindness at the Reception desk My room was smelly, even though it was a non-smoking room. They should make sure that rooms don't smell funny.
Everything I really enjoyed it everything was good, location staff parking. It was all so easy. My only minor complaint was the Gymn was so small and the pool was small and cold!. Also I requested the jogging map from reception but was mazed that this did not contain any distances or scale. I would have expected it to be measured out in miles or KM.
the size of the room and how lose to the centre. i asked you to make the breakfast free and you told it is done... and you sent me email telling me the breakfast is free now.. but when i arrived to the hotel.. they told me is not inclouded and not free .. i called you several times about the situation but you did not make anything for me. so this situation fell me down.
Freshly renovated, large Superior room, good quality facilities, good position in centre of town, friendly efficient staff. Baby crying all night; whilst not really the hotel's fault, was annoying. Car parking a bit restricted and expensive, shower leaked badly onto floor.
Pool opening hours
The location was perfect, less than 100m from the main square. Nice clean rooms, nice breakfast too. Overall good impression.
Late arrival was no problem. Staff very efficient. Hotel very centrally located. Room very spacious and facilities were excellent - always nice to have tea/coffee making facilities. The thick bathrobes gave a feeling of luxury. There was nothing I didn't like.
The location is excellent
Perfect location with very convenient underground garage. All staff members were friendly courteous and efficient. Lack of attention to detail in main restaurant. Tablecloths were not always clean and some of our food was served on chipped plates.
Friendly helpful staff. Excellent room and hot buffet breakfast.
We could not open the wardrobe doors without having to move an arm chair.
There is no restuarant and staff weren't good at advising where to eat when they did recommend and we finally found the restuarant it was fully booked!!! The lack of parking facilities especially as a disabled driver was very inconvienient finally found somewhere which was a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. I wouldnt stay at the hotel again. Nor would i recommend it
Beautifully decorated, very clean & comfortable bedrooms & bath, very friendly & competent staff, good location, nice breakfast
Perfect location for Brugge sightseeing (2mins walk from Market Square), staff very helpful and friendly. We had an executive room which exceeded our expectations; as did rest of hotel. Onsite car park was ideal but has limitted spaces - so book early. Would definitely book this hotel if visitting Brugge again. Disturbed by noise (revellers) from street in early hours of morning on first night - second night ok - location of hotel more than compensated.
Very comfortable, modern, light and bright, close to the centre, quiet, elegant.
had a lovely peaceful room and the breakfast was good
the welcoming staff amd the lovely room
Hotel decor is very nice, relaxed atmosphere and a good breakfast.
Beautiful hotel with a luxury feel, very comfy bed and spacious bathroom.superb room. Breakfast was mediocre for a 4 star hotel, cold bacon and eggs. Unfortunately this hotel us located opposite a youth hostel so any rooms facing on to the street will be disturbed at allhours by the residents as we were.
Stayed 3 nights in November 2010 for an average of 145€/night breakfast not included. Very nice modern hotel ideally located in downtown Bruges. Standard rooms are clean and spacious with an 'assembled' queen bed, an armchair, a desk, 2 closets, a full-sized bathroom with shower and bathtub. View on the canal for some rooms in the back building. Bar fridge & LCD TV. Lights turn on and off with the key card. Free wifi on request at the bar. Parking below the hotel building. Facilities include a restaurant for breakfast, a very cosy bar, a small gym, and a wellness center with sauna & hammam. Walking distance from main shopping streets, restaurants, and museums. The staff are extremely helpful and speak good English. Queen bed was in fact 2 single beds... Gym opens at 10:00am, way too late!
Beautifully grand hotel, immaculate throughout. Rooms were superb, décor, bathrooms, all Ist class Excellent breakfast, vast choice hot/cold, all served in very pleasant dining room. No bad points.
clean, friendly, efficient close to city sights
Fabulous room in the old part of the hotel, sumptuous decor and very clean - more 5star! We had upgraded and was worth it. Enormous double bed and beautifully soft and comfortable, in fact probably only the second most comfortable we've had in the world. Staff were very helpful, and all spoke fluent English, arriving on a Sunday they checked the restaurant in town was open and made our reservation whilst we toured the town. (excellent idea as it was fully booked later). Breakfast was plentiful and of a super standard - even the scrambled egg! Parking was easy and secure and €20 for 24 hours good value. The breakfast room was very hot. Be aware there is a youth hostel up the street and as it is a city hotel in an historic part of town there can be a little noise, this didn't bother us in the least, but it could.
Beautifoul, very very good Nothing
Every thing .. A truly beutiful hotel A pool would have been nice
Hotel was clean and just off Market square, very convenient to historical district. Our room had a terrible odor one of the days we were there. Smelled like sewer backup problem.
A central location, well appointed, an excellent breakfast, relaxed. The high standards of cleanliness and comfort. Efficient staff. It played a great part in making our visit to Bruges a great success. A minor point worth considering - We would have liked some drawers in which to put our folded clothes. There was plenty of hanging space in the storage unit. Some of the staff could have looked a little happier.
i thought the hotel decor was exceptional for a city hotel beautifully appointed reception rooms there are two parts to the hotel and the second part would be slightly less impressive than the first older part but not a big issue otherwise lovely hotel great location
The beds are very comfortable and soft. The breakfast selection is good and diverse. The shared areas and the old building have a nice ambience and classical style. The hotel is situated very centrally so you are never more than 25 mins walk away Certain members of staff at the reception were getting by putting in the minimum required effort when handling questions and requests. Pro-active is not a word I would use. You can drop off suitcases but you have to put them (yourself) in an unattended, unlocked area, which was rather odd.
I found the staff very aatentive and polite. The hotel is quite opulent even though some of the rooms are hard to find.
An ideal location with very courteous staff and homely atmosphere. That it was only 3 nights.
When we asked for another room the receptionist was very responsive and moved us to another room with no problem. Our room was facing Market Square and bar of hotel is underneath as well so very noisy until 2am each night and construction starts at 7am nearby so unable to sleep
Lovely location and great breakfast Maids room quite basic for a 4 star hotel and noisy at times due to other guests in corridor.
During our stay my wife became ill and the staff contacted a local doctor that saw her immediately. This was a very nice service.
room was beautiful, lovely garden. good location
Location and breakfast quality No car parking available despite booking one of a limited number of spaces in advance. But we were room upgraded so that was good compensation. Underground public parking 300 metres is OK except for luggage .
It was near to the centre of Bruges. It was a historic building
the location was great. the staff all spoke english, and the lady at reception was very helpful.
Probably the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The woman at reception was amazing - very helpful and professional. Breakfast was excellent and rooms were beautiful.
Beautiful, old world rooms.
1. Good central location 2. Comfort and charm 3. Parking facilities 4. Good lighting, mirrors and hairdryer in room (important for women!) 5. Helpful and attentive staff 6. Cleanliness of room 7. Excellent breakfasts
Location, design, friendly, helpful, luxurious, comfortable No soap in bathroom. Hair dryer not powerful enough. Nice rug but was slippy.
Very Nice hotel with good location. Main areas of hotel were pretty and well decorated. Room was clean. There was not a shower in our room! Only a hand held shower in a bath....holding the shower head while trying to wash your hair is not that much fun. For a four star hotel, I expect a decent shower. The carpet in our room was quite old and stained as well, but the rest of the room was very nice.
Beautiful hotel and very quiet despite it's central location. Excellent staff with the perfect balance of efficiency and friendliness. Extremely comfortable bed!
I liked everything during my stay at the Martin's Orangerie, especially our room, it's design and cosiness
staff excellent room was at street level
A nice, comfortable, hotel in a good, central, location. Staff were very efficient and helpful.
Your hotel is quite unique in a way, and had a good relaxing feel to it. Classy without being over elaborate. None
The friendliness of the staff The air conditioner was right above the bed!
The charm, location and room facilities of the hotel. The staff could not have done any more for us. The wasn't a restaurant on site and no tea/coffee facilities in the room.
The service, the staff and the location
Beautiful lounge. Comfortable room. Good breakfast, but very expensive.
The location is superb. Excellent breakfast, well served. The reception staff were particu;ar;y helpful. We changed rooms because the one we had booked was very cramped. It cost us more but it was worth it. It would be helpful if some warning of the room sizes was available when making the reservation.
Lovely people and very helpful. Excellent breakfast and great position Our standard room was small and dark ( tree outside window )and poorly lit.The WC was squashed into small space beside the bath and very difficult to use.
the family feel and the position was excellent No...................
The staff and the location. The room was a fraction too small for the price.
the luxurious room and attention to detail in every aspect - even the silver cutlery usd for breakfast and the crystal glasses used in the bar.
The location is excellent.Staff very friendly Our room was very small even by European standards and would not have wanted to stay there more than one or two nights
The location and the staff
the politness of the staff and the location with car parking no, only that the bath was a bit stained not dirty just stained through age but not a real probnlem as we had a shower
Wonderful property and staff. I'd hate to pay full price, but one of the nicest small charming luxury hotels I have ever stayed at! Will definately return. Brugge and De Tuilerieen the nicest surprise of 2 weeks in europe. Bar could use a couple wonderful beers of Belgium on tap.
Lovely boutique hotel with very nice large rooms. The staff spoke English and were super friendly and helpful which we appreciated after having just come from Paris. Wish we could have stayed more days to enjoy the spa. I would definitely like to return for a longer stay. Nothing to dislike about this hotel. Everything was perfect. Great value.
location, great price, great clean hotel with own parking nothing we didn't dislike
It was all wonderful. Fairytale setting with friendly and helpful people everywhere. I couldn't stay longer!!
Had two rooms with family including myself and wife and two children, 6 & 8, and a 21 year old friend. The hotel is one of the best botique hotels I've ever experienced. The staff was great, spoke English which was important for us, the hotel room was incredible and the location is the best in Bruges. Nothing I didn't like but with family I'm glad I got two rooms.
The chocolate fountain included as part of the breakfast buffet The room was much smaller and not as luxurious as the photos on the website
all was perfect!!! n
The relaxed informal atmosphere, a very welcoming feeling. Nothing was too much trouble. Good advice about where to eat from staff.
An extremely luxurious and comfortable hotel with friendly and helpful staff and placed in just about the best position for visiting Bruges. Road outside the front rooms overlooking the canal is relatively busy and very noisy at night from cars rumbling over the cobbles.
The hotel is ideally located for exploring Bruges' historic centre on foot. The restaurant is excellent and reasonably priced, and there is a roaring fire in the bar. Could find nothing to fault it.
The hotel is a new construction and everything was in excellent condition. I enjoyed the fact that the architects maintained features of the old building that gave it a mixed historical and modern experience.
Yves the manager was excellent the rest of the staff were disappointing. My bill had over £250 of food and wine which we didn't have on it. When I pointed this out it took an age for the bill to be properly prepared and the attitude of the receptionist made me feel as though she thought we were lying about the charges. The "suite" was just a big bedroom and when I asked to upgrade to a proper suite (and offered to pay) I was just shown other smaller rooms.
The room was beautiful. We were in room 3--the Anna Bourgogne room--I beleive it's their 'bridal suite.' We had booked a junior suite but they upgraded us without asking based on availability.
Excellent reception on arrival, room upgraded and information on local area and places to visit were highlighted. Actual room was very comfortable, with good facilities and the low season pricing very good value for this upmarket hotel. Location near to the centre ideal for discovering Brugge. So look for the special room prices and go for it, you won't be dissapointed with this hotel.
in the city center, very comfortable beds, the room was very nice (quadruple room) beds in the mezzanine are uncomfortable for adult children, the price for breakfast is very high
The staff were charming and efficient. The was restaurant superb and the view of the canal from our room was fabulous. We really loved staying there.
I really liked the hotel room. The location was also lovely The beds were unfortunately uncomfortable.
THe kindness of the employees. The bathroom, which was very poor for the price.
We choose this hotel mainly because of the jacuzzi and the one in our room didn't work, big disapointment. No possibility to make tea/coffee.
Feeling of luxury away from home, a real pampering experience. A bit pricey. nothing extra was thrown in for free eg. a bottle of water
