Comfortable room, spacious for european standards. Bed was amazing. Very clean. Hotel smells delicious. Friendly staff. You can hear the noise from the hallways and contiguous rooms.
Pets allowed and location, fully restored No parking
Location Purple decor
good situation for the old part of the city and access to the Guttenheim museum
The location was great, very central. The room was very nice and great value for money.
I have apprecciated the central location of the hotel. Parking nearby is expensive and not easy. I have not enjoyed the noise in the early morning.
The breakfasts Smelly drains in the bathroom
Location atmosphere decor
Very nice hotel, great location, easy walking distance for all the sights. No hotel parking but underground car park only 1 block away.
we had 2 single rooms well furnished and clean lots of choice at breakfast and very sympathetically refurbished as always would like to see cheaper single rooms than doubles
Location Floors are noisy
This hotel is very close some famous restaurant and bar. Our room smelled like cigarettes. It let us uncomfortable.
Location in the old town was great Parking was approx. 6 blocks away and cost over 17 eu per day
very good located in historical part of bilbao..
For taking a look at the "Casco Viejo " the location couldn´t be better. The floors really do make a lot of noise.
The staff were nice and friendly. The hotel is in a pedestrian area with lots of shops, restaurants etc on the doorstep; We only stayed for one night and it suited our purpose.
Bathroom Bedroom floors noisy when people check out early
very good located in historical part of bilbao.close to everywhere.
This hotel had a great location in the Casco Vieja section of BIlbao - a very picturesque part of the city. When we had a last minute change in plans, the hotel was able to accommodate us which we greatly appreciated! The price was very reasonable, too.
Accessibility to the old quarter and museums difficult access to check in with bags etc, needing to be carried a half kilometer from the parking building. The wi-fi internet was slow, no connection in room, poor connection in lobby. Use a LAN cable in room if you visit (hidden behind the desk and not advised until we checked out).
situation in Casco Viejo, very welcoming staff, large modern room and decent sized bathroom breakfast costs extra and is not anything special (mostly pre-packaged croissants and biscuits) but it may be your only choice early Sunday morning
location was excellent and staff very friendly and helpful the price of breakfast was different at booking.com and in the hotel, so hopefully this will be corrected to the website
Quaint little B&B in the heart of the atmospheric Bilbao old town. Street noise (drunken laughter and shouting from nearby bars) is a real problem in some of the rooms.
A charming building, kind and helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms, gracious manager/owner, and fantastic location. Don't hesitate to book with the Iturrienea Ostatua. Even with earplugs, the breakfast noise will wake you if you are in a room that is just off the main lobby, even having said that, I would stay there again.
Lovely historic hotel in a great location in the Casco Viejo, near everything. The room was pretty, the bath was very nice, and the staff was friendly. Even tho it rained, we enjoyed the balcony. The heat didn't work, but it wasn't too cold out. Street noise made it necessary to use earplugs to sleep.
Location in old town is a plus; rooms and common areas are basic but clean; staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms at the front of building are very noisy, as the fun from the local cafes/bars spills out onto the street. There is no lift in the building, so be ready to carry your bags upstairs.
Position is excellent for access to transport, sights and is located in a very interesting old area of town. Noise from street in front rooms
The staff were extremely helpfull. The hotel was well cared for.
Lovely bedroom and hotel, welcoming and helpful staff. Very good location, quiet, clean and cheap. If you take your satnav, take the name of the street in basque (andra maria kalea) too because some satnav don't find "santa maria". Breakfast not great.
The location was great. The restaurant recommendations were helpful. The breakfast was marginal.
Very pleasant and helpful owner/staff The stairs may pose a problem for some
I liked the funky decor. The reception desk staff were very nice, spoke good english. Be warned, there is no lift and you must carry your luggage upstairs.
Poor lighting, the room was very dimly lit Noise, people were shouting till after 12, then again at 3 am then early in the morning
The location - near to old town and railway station. Our room was with the view to the river and the old theater. I use my earplugs on Saturday night - the talk on the river bank was too loud.
It is convienent to the city centre and 'Casco Viejo'. It was basic but clean. I felt it was good value. Staff were friendly.
The wifi does not work well in the rooms - you need to sit in the hallway for it to work properly, and even then it runs pretty slowly. The hallways an floors are all tile, so sound echoes at all hours of the night. There is no elevator, and nobody will help you with your bags, so travel light!
Location is perfect! Near by the old town and the shopping center. Nice, cozy room.
The hotel was overpriced. We stayed in equally priced hotels elsewhere that where much more comfortable
Bed was too short
Centraaly located. Very clean. Good price.
Great location close to the railway stations, old town, the river and the city centre. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is on the first floor and there is no lift.Wi-fi is not available in the bedrooms and it was not possible to pay by debit/credit card because the machine was broken.Luckily there are banks close at hand.As other reviewers have said noisy because of the thin walls.
The hotel was well situated and he staff helpful.
