The roof bar was fantastic
The location was great but the room was very small, very dirty, with a small windoow just facing another building.....The staff very rude... Didn't care about the guest, and the breakfast was for a 2 star hotel, not 5 star hotel
Excellent location. Friendly professional staff. Recently refurbished excellent rooms with good amenities inc Bulgari Restaurant on the lower level is a bit bland but good quality. Ok for breakfast but Go out for dinner
The hotel was under renovation, lots of noise and disturbence during the day.
The hotel is in an excellent location for travelers who need access to both the port and the airport. The surrounding streets offer dining for every taste.
The staff at the hotel are fantastic - from the minute you step out of a cab to when you check out you feel pampered and cared for. The concierge was excellent in their food recommendations. The only drawback was that everything has a cost. The coffee in your room is considered mini-bar and is a charge.
The rooms were very nice and the location was great. Check-in did not go smoothly at all. Our rooms were not ready for several hours and we did not get into our rooms until speaking with the manager.
The hotel staff was very accommodating.....no matter what the questions...they went out their way to make everything wonderful. They helped us find our way around the city. The taxis were at strike one day and they made it possible for us to still make the tour we had planned for the day.
Staff were friendly & efficient.Excellent location.Breakfast buffet was extensive & varied.
Great staff from the bellman all the way to staff at the front desk, staff who cleans the room to the bar and staff at breakfast. no complaints everything at the hotel is excellent
nothing in particular...thought reception and particularly breakfast dining areas were below par for a 5 star g.l hotel.....expected breakfast eggs etc to be cooked fresh not left on buffet...no a la carte offered see above............refused to give free internet in room despite info on booking conditions
Located in the heart of luxury shopping area, one block from Gaudi's two residential masterpieces on Passeig de Gracia (Le Pedrera and Casa Battalo are a one minute walk away, one to the left, one to the right). There is a 24-hr 'pharmacy' w/in 1/2 a block, and the on-off tourist busses stop adjacent to Le Pedrera (red line). Every person who worked at this hotel is absolutely wonderful. (Happily held our luggage until a room was ready, gave us access to their beautiful breakfast/lounge ((we declined breakfast as we wanted to start touring a sap but it was truly a 4-star spread, like a Ritz Carlton or similar class.) ROOFTOP BAR IS AMAZING - try a Martin Miller Gin Tonic (one of 8 different gin tonics offered), 360 degree view with glass "roof" will stun you), tapas list was great. ROOM was modern, blow your mind luxurious. Our 20' balcony faced the street (rm 901 has floor to ceiling glass with a huge balcony and electric blinds... The wall above our king size bed was also glass, all the way to the ceiling creating a 6x8' glass wall 'headboard' which also created a wall of glass above the tub in the bath room, letting the spectacular view and light flood into the entire bathroom, with a electric shade if you wanted to lower it....). I seldom photograph a room, but I tried this time because it was so spectacular. Great robes, slippers, nespresso machine, huge glass shower. We absolutely loved it - would love to move in forever. I hated to have to leave and hope to go back for a longer stay. Note - this area is totally safe 24 hours a day and this would be a GREAT place for a woman travelling alone - this is a GREAT location. Entire staff, EVERY person, went out of their way to delight you.
Excellent location, and facilites. Very close to metro station (<5mins walk). Breakfast somewhat expensive. Very small gourmet restaurant which was excellent, but imited menu. Room rather small, with only one armchair.
Excellent stay - very helpful staff. It is a shame that their bar, dining room and breakfast charges are so high when compared to comparable non-hotel establishments (e.g. glass of wine is 11 Euros at the hotel vs 2 Euro's) that we really didn't use the bar facilities. We would have (and can afford to) but at the end of the day, we felt it to be a rip-off and did not do so. A real shame - we would have been happy to pay a premium but one that was so totally out of keeping with the rest of the city.
building and inerior and location
Rooms and location is great, underground parking just in front of the hotel and metro is just down the road. Good views from quiet rooms and one full non-smoking floor. Breakfast in the basement disapointing. The room is great for other uses, but starting the day in a dark vault after being woken by the sun is a turnoff. Better to grab breakfast close by or across the street.
Excellent service, beautiful decoration interior and exterior, great location
View and balcony right on Gracia. Amazing!
In the heart of the city, and walking distance to many shoppings. Capable staff who can really be help in English. Not really.
Great breakfast , for the 25 euro you get a really great food. Very good location, beautiful interior design. The rooftop with pool and bar was closed for the night.
The Staff was excellent- polite, attentive and knowledgable. The Hotel is well located and very well maintained. We were very pleased with our choice and everything about the Hotel. Although the rooms are very prety to look at, they are not as functional as they should be, particularly at that price... there are no shelves or drawers to unpack and place clothing ( except the very narrow hangging closet next to each side of the bed). Also, there is no shelf or rack in the shower to place any toiletries- a large soap dish at the least would be suffice. It is a classic example where Form does NOT follow Function...but, it looks good!!
The hotel's design is exciting; it is a historical piece of art. The location is perfect. We liked everything
Location, hotel staff
The location is very good, the staff are excellent, roof terrace is excellent, staff plesant and friendly, the food there is very good but limited, same menu every day. We ate lunch there each each day of our stay, and fish of the day for 5 days was always the same. The bed in our room was far too hard. By the end of our stay we both had aching backs.
Wondeful staff, very helpful. Made phenomenal restaurant recommendations and were all around very helpful. The hotel is a very nice hotel where they do a great job keeping clean and very nice. Location is great, walking distance to everything but in a more upscale area so out of the chaos of La Rambla.
the roof bar small rooms - misleading 5 star status
Very helpful staff; rooftop bar excellent; excellent location; beds great Rooftop could use a little more seating with tables; maybe a few more waitstaff
Location Room decor
Friendly, helpfu staffl and in a good location. Loved the roof top bar where the food we had was excellent We didn't dislike anything
The bed was like a rock, and pillows very poor for sleeping
Staff helpfulness and attitude room on busy road did not have enough noise insulation-consequently noisy
The terrace. Room service food.
Very helpfull staff,
This hotel is far from to be 5 star. The bed in the double room is very narrow and is about 1.40 m ! Thus, two adults sleeping on it risk to fall down at night. The other furniture of the room, which needs to be repaired would be more suitable for a 3 star hotel room. The personnel at the desk with poor english could explain to us how to connect to the hotel WiFi and offered us free bussiness room: two old time snail speed desktops with a queque beside the door. There is also a problem to take a cup of coffee till noon - the only suggestion is to take breakfast twice.
Location. Friendly staff Modern room Sqeaky bed! The lighting system was a little erratic, sometimes did not work, but promptly attended to by staff.
Great boutique hotel with excellent facilities and friendly staff at prime location.
The Spa , the bar staff . The food is excellent. The Moon Restaurant
style, location and good facilities time to time noise becuse of wooden floor.
Good sized rooms, clean, comfortable and very quite considering city location. No hot drink making facilities available in rooms
location atmosphere in fashion
Central location in a very important street with an easy access to everything especially the tube station. Free internet. Nice chocolate every night. Although we were given an internal view of the back side of the hotel, Our first night was horrible. The hotel's corridoor was very noisy. You can hear everything going on outside. The toilet is separated from the shower room however, the toilet's door cant be closed completely. Very old TV with only few channels. No coffee/tea in the room. Looks more like 4 star hotel.
Excellent breakfast. Nice decor. Excellent personnel most of all the PR hotel manager. Nice closets and ample space. Toilet and shower in different rooms and no sink on the toilet side. Too dark halls.
- nice, competent and helpfull staff - nice design/good comfort of the rooms - nice general areas in the hotel (lounge/restaurant/pool&terrace) nothing
Service and location
Good location, good room, great bathroom, helpful staff, excellent breakfast and top quality food especially restaurant Moo Bar got a bit too full with nightclub at night
close to my appointment the staff was kind enough to give a another room because misfunctioning in room 409
wi-fi free bar close in the night.....and no beer in the morning
The staff were very helpful the bed could be a bit more comfortable
El personal es muy atento y seesfuerzan mucho.
Location is excellent, very easy The room is not so good and not very clean
Front desk very helpful None
The hotel is well located with good transport links. It was clean and the rooms are of good size for a city hotel. The rooms are well soundproofed and there was no noise from the street when the windows were closed. Air con worked fine. I would rate it a 3 star not a 4. Not really. Got a good rate and was happy with the hotel for the money I paid.
that the staff is polite amd very helpful You can hear the noce from the metro
I could come and go as i pleased, door porter all night. Staff friendly and helpful. Room cleaned each day. Hotel was not too noisey. Sound proof rooms
The location is very good, nearby metro and railroad; but I think it is not what I expect of a 4 stars hotel. Bathroom pieces were broken, bed was very very noisy, tv was cheap. And the service could improve a lot, keeping in mind Barcelona is such a turistic city. The staff's attention, bathroom quality, room's comfort.
Very impressed with the standards and service of the hotel, the room was clean, and the food was very good , a big thank you to all the staff who made the difference to wet but enjoyable short break. its not a big issue but we had the only room in the hotel that had a small round window that diddent open and was none smoking even though we had asked for smoking on booking through internet
clean modern room. jacuzzi on top floor bar very small. breakfast was expensive
location, cleanliness, staff
The Hotel is centrally located and accessible to touristic Bus in walkable distance. The staffs are so helpful for the person like me visting for the first time. Fabio and Tiberon are very helpful. They are charging 15euros for the television.
Clean, comfortable, large room, location A little high priced
Gave a baby bed. No problems
good location helpfull staff location not enough selection of food at breakfast
Lovely room at the back of the hotel, very quiet considering the location on Balmes. No outside terrace at ground level.
Excellent hotel. The double room was very clean and spacious, with a king size bed, had seperate wardrobe space with a secure safe. Clean bathroom, with bath and shower. The location was ideal with various transport links with the metro one block away and FGC. It wasnt far to walk to other stations and the bus stops were nearby too. Possible to walk to La Rambla (approx 15 min walk). Hotel also advised us of the nearest train (Renefe) stop where its possible to get a train to the airport. Staff were very helpful, professional, polite, and spoke good english. Internet (wired) was available in the room, but it didnt work on the first night, however the hotel fixed it when we informed them. Wifi is available but only in the lobby.
quality for money and location. all very good!
The hotel is very clean, and modern in style. Most of the staff could speak English, and they were all helpful and friendly.
The design is very fashion and modern.
I liked the room and its design... staff speaks real poor english even though they always tried their best...i appreciate that
The hotel was close to two "Halal Restaurants" 5 Euro to reach them, one is called "Abou Khalil" C/Santalo, 88, Barcelona a Lebanese one owned by a Palestinian guy. and the other one is called "Al-Jaima" C/Valencia, 218,Barcelona owned by his brother. The internet was great as well. We arrived early and the receptionist helped us to put the luggage in the store. The room needs to be isolated well so we do not hear the wind when blowing. There was no Bidet at the bathroom, I would appreciate if they could add it.
Design of rooms and bed linen, reception and the bar, rich breakfast with well selected food. Beds shouldn't be separated - should be queen beds.
The room Rocked! It was very luxurious for the money we paid. The hotel staff turned down the beds. The room was very clean. From our window you could see the Segrada Familia. I loved this hotel. It was my favorite within my 2 weeks in traveling in Europe. There was nothing that I did not like about this hotel. Great location.
Interia design No complimentary water ( a sign of a hotel chain that cares as much about the individual as they do their profit margin)
Centre location (10 minutes by foot from placa Catalynia), very friendly staff, nice breakfast Very strange design ))) especially for bathroom )))
Nice brakfast romm and good choice for breakfast room was small and dark
Clean and modern and very close to great shopping area. Great value for money.
Location, Cleanliness, Staff, Great breakfast No
The room was very comfort and peaceful and the bathroom excellent, as the bed, too The price of a bottle of water was very high.
The hotel was clean and warm. Nice big window in the room which you could open wide to a nice (city) view. Dark curtains which kept the room dark in the mornings if you wanted a lie in.Very nice clean and toasty warm bathroom. Lovely 5 minute walk to the metro stop which connected to the rest of the city.Hotel seems to be in a nice safe area. Overall it was a nice hotel and would stay there again. The bed was hard and quite uncomfortable, the reception staff should have been much friendlier. Checking in was pretty straightforward but they certainly did not make us feel welcome or excited to be staying at their hotel. I felt is was an effort for them to give directions / answer questions etc.... I would recommend a course in customer relations and general friendliness! Also the bar was ridiculously expensive!!! Apart from that I would recommend this hotel, as overall it was enjoyable.
Location in upscale Gracia was fantastic, close to padrerra and one could walk to catalunya, awesome places to eat and drink around the hotel the AC stucked, i sweated it out all three nights, called someone to check it out and the guy did not speak a word of english, the so called advertised mini gym has a cycle
Great value of money Breakfast does not inluded ( 12 € if you want)
Location, most of the staff, breakfast buffet. Some staff were cold, but most were good. Access to wellness center needs to be expanded. And staff needs more language training.
Hotel's location is excellent. Two minutes walk from passeig de gracia. Internet is free of charge and very good. Breakfast was ok. Poor fitness center. Also room and bed are too small.
Great value, big well-equipped clean room with excellent facilities A+
The rooms were nice and clean. The shower was not forcefull nor did it have proper hot water.
The location is excellent. Approximately 10 minutes walk from La Ramblas and many restaurants.
The excellent location
The stay was excellent, the hotel was as good as expected. There was a description of a heated pool - but the only one was an open-air jacuzzi on the roof terrace, the restaurant for breakfast was in a hotel of the same name over the road, as was the restaurant for evening meal. There was no information in the information book about the restaurant, but plenty about room service, all TV service is chargeable, bar CNN, and no tea / coffee making facilities in the room (perhaps not expected in 4* hotel.)
Their location in the Eixample District, the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff, the beautiful view of "La Pedrera" from the windows in my room, the excellent tapas restaurant (Cerveceria Catalana) about a block from the hotel. Everything was fine.
excellent hotel,perfect location
the location is amzing, in the middle of passage de gracia where everything is "socially shopping", walking distance to plz cataluniya and la rambla. staff are freindly and rooms are very clean. i booked a classic room and i got one with a great view, however i was not comfortable till i up graded it to desgine room which is bigger, classic room is good for one person but for double you need a bigger room.
I like all. And tasty various breakfasts, and interiors of numbers. For this year I stopped in hotel twice. The hotel collective works quickly, air, is invisible, and it speaks about its professionalism. Thanks.
The location in front of Gaudi's "Casa Mila" was what decided us, and the effort of the staff to give us a room with the best view of it and a terrace was greatly appreciated The smell in the room wasn't fantastic.
it`s exactly one of the best hotels in Barcelona.
There was a problem with the shower.During showing the water comes into coridor.
Location of the hotel. Staff was not very helpful.
