Our stay was in a garden villa room not too far from the beach down a short ramp and stepped slope. The resort location is very beautiful and clean right on the beach with some nice views in the near to far range. We made plenty of use of the pools which are very nice. The main pool is very big but has shallow areas up to about the knees. We did go into the clean, clear warm sea sea but were mostly as the pool because we had a toddler with us. Food on the resort was fine but not too much more than nearby. You have good food, store and massage options just across the road from the resort entrance. The room was maybe a bit worn but nothing to really write about. Nice and big with air conditioning. Breakfast is big and plentiful with both western and eastern choices. A lot is the same food day to day but with some variation. If you want to do any of the resort activities make sure you book as otherwise they are not held. Overall I felt it was excellent price and value at the Beyond Resort Krabi. If I had to be picky I would say the following were things that let the resort down: More staff at the beach and restaurant. Could use a remote button ordering system allowing one to call for service from the lounge chair to order whatever to drink and eat. I saw this at another resort and really felt luxury, Also probably increased my resort spend! Restaurant staff wore football jerseys, all the same. I presume this is that somehow the hotel owners are involved withe the team on the jersey, I forgot to ask. The resort is labelled Kata Group in a lot of places. This is the owner of the resort but the way is is on different logos and places it negates the idea and dream of the resort. Seeing the name kept making me think I was staying at an office building and not the beautiful resort it truly is.
The staff was generally very friendly. The location is away from busy street and quiet, which I was looking for. (It is not hotel's fault that in room next to ours, some drunken fool got home at 3am and then started yelling into his phone for 30 minutes... Unfortunately, inconsiderate idiots like our "neighbor" are going on vacations, too). Despite my "complaints" below, I enjoyed our stay. If below's issues were fixed I would rate it a 5 star instead of a 4 star. At start of breakfast time restaurant is understaffed, hence one waits for coffee, etc. After about 8am sufficient staff is present and helpful. One thing I did not like is that no late checkout (just an hour later than normal, at 1pm) was not granted, due to "being fully booked". I have spent 150-200 nights every year in hotels (since about 1997) and know that such a request can be honored, no matter how fully booked it is. Check in is at 2pm ... gives staff a full hour to clean the room... I don't remember the last time when a late checkout request has not been accomodated. Wifi in room is too slow. Charging 60% MORE for airport transfer than a (clean) taxi (800 baht vs 500 baht) is a little unreasonable, I think.
The staff was very friendly, the rooms were cleaned every day with perfection. The hotel is located near everything you could possibly do. The pool service was very fast and on point. Breakfast was not bad in comparison to other hotels. Recommend the french toast. Air con needs to point higher, It was directly on us and as a result we got a bit sick on our second day.
Location was excellent, in the middle of shops, opposite the beach. Price can be bargin down a bit. Pool was a welcome facility to cool down. Not enough towels at poolside. Attendant does not replenish enough ... disappears after certain time in afternoon. No hot water at times, like in the night .. as though hotel switches off after certain time.
The rooms were excellent quality, great amenities provided and very clean. The pool area is absolutely beautiful, better in person even than pictures. The included breakfast had a lot of options. It's not in a walkable area but they do offer shuttle service every few hours. There isn't a spa onsite but they do have a relationship with a local spa that will pick you up & take you back. I saw massage tables near the infinity pool so maybe they will have it on property in the future.
the food and the staff at the restaurant customer service very poor and not bothered as it was not peak season yet (that's what the manager told me when i asked why the thai massage on site was not available), shower not working properly, no complimentary toiletries nor minibar as stated, not at all what it looks like in the photos!!!!! very disappointing!
location only! The room was totally awful, the service was bad as well. We ordered 4 night and stayed only 1. They charged my bill in advancewithout permission and it took more then a month to get the money back.
Staff were the nicest i have met in thailand, definitely value for money!
We chose this hotel because we liked the location that appeared in your webpage. Our surprise was that the real location is not the same that appeared in the web. You should change the location in internet as soon as posible to ensure no more mistakes. The correct location is north of the Hat Rai Leh East, not in Tham Phra Nang Nok, the best beach in Railay. Location was pretty central. Room/grounds were only okay. Staff seemed rude and like they distrusted you. Definitely didn't make us feel welcome.
Nice location near the water. Good restaurant. Large, clean rooms. We paid for breakfast every day, but they did not have an alternative option when we had to leave earlier than breakfast was served one morning.
Bad hotel, staff not kind at all, swiming pool and rooms were dirty!!! And they charged our credit card twice!!!
