So close to everything great location n very clean Can't say there was anything I was unhappy with
I liked the decor of the hotel: pictures of musicians and even autographed guitars. The room was clean and comfortable and it was quiet. I slept well. The free shuttle to the airport was a pleasant surprise and I used it. The driver was friendly and I enjoyed conversing with him. I was very disappointed in the customer service when I accidentally left my cell phone charger in the room when I checked out. I started calling the day I checked out (Friday) and also called on Saturday and Sunday and finally got word on Monday that my charger was not found, even though I reported on the exact location of the unit!
The staff were friendly and accommodating. It's far from downtown Austin. You will need to rent a car. Certain areas of the hotel were underconstruction.
The tv channels and remote not easy - small frame picture in bigger tv screen- just annoying. Never had that problem before. Prefer upper floors to second floor.
Location and price N/a
Staff was super friendly and incredibly helpful. They also upgraded me for free! No free breakfast.
The location and staff are great. The facilities are under construction that results in an annoyance and hit and miss with rooms and floors.
Nice facility well located close to all the entertainment and dining.
A bottle of champagne or wine a lil more romantic vibe would've been great especially since we're from out of town celebrating New Years Eve
Front desk staff and housekeeping very friendly. Room was clean and neat. Nice size TV. Only spent one night so I didn't have much experience with all aspects of hotel. Heat/air unit is old fashioned wall unit. Not sure why there is a wall thermostat. Ran heat to warm room and unit was a bit noisy but it worked well. Same with bath air vent that ran when lights were on.
Beautiful hotel Very comfortable room Free airport shuttle Would have liked free coffee
This has been one the best pet friendly hotels I've stayed at so far. Our room had a shared yard for the pups which we really enjoyed during potty time. A/C was a bit noisy
It was not a boutique.. I slept in full clothing attire.. That was my level of discomfort. Everyone was nice but it's not a place to stay for $200/night .. More like a 1 star then I wouldn't complain. Misleading for sure. Just FYI.
Comfortable, clean. Pool was being serviced so we couldn't use it, and no where to use a computer to print something.
Checking out Their website is misleading. This is not a boutique hotel, it is a run down roach hotel. The first room they gave us smelled like cat piss. The second room and garbage in the bin. Stains on the floors, cracks and scuffs all over the walls and silver fish in the bath tub. Totally gross, we did not want to spend any time there and were upset we couldn't get a refund. There were also some mystery stains on the sheets we didn't see till the morning. Also, we could hear our neighbors conversations very clearly. Awful awful awful. This hotel should be $40 a night, not $179.
Such an amazing wonderful place to stay! It's very clean and comfortable place to stay for couple of nights. What I didn't like about it was the wi-fi, because the signal was too weak from our room.
I liked the shower, and the tall ceilings. Lighting in room was poor. Internet details stated that there was a lounge on site. There's a sign on the front of the building that states there is a lounge on site. I had invited clients for cocktails after work, only to find that the bar was shut down and had to scramble and notify everyone we'd have to meet somewhere else for happy hour. I likely will not return. I"ll have to go back to the Wyndham or Omni.....
Location Tired decor.
Not much. The ambiance was not what pictures on kayak website depicted.
Location Bed sheets stained, water pressure super low, very flat pillows, remote control for TV not working, requested to change rooms and not help with that
Room was clean and comfortable. It was definitely on the small size for a room and was a little cramped for the 4 people we had staying there but for the price it was certainly acceptable.
I liked that I didn't die or get hurt. It's in a sketchy part of Austin. There are roaches everywhere. The bathroom floor was literally mushy, because water had gone under the stick-on floor laminate. Beds were far from comfortable, had a dip in the middle of the mattress. Pubes on the pillow (!!!!). No fridge or microwave. No closet. But the people were the worst part. Other guests were so seedy the motel has a security guard at night and a CURFEW. I witnessed a fist fight and the police showing up. I heard a very loud verbal fight outside my window the first night, then the second night was worse: someone kept yelling, "NO PLEASE DON'T!" over and over, then I heard what sounded like physical struggle, and then a lot of human whimpering. I literally couldn't tell if they were male or female. It was horrifying. I called 911. I will NEVER stay there ever again.
Not a thing at all! The drug deals in the parking lot with plenty of thugs lurking around. The room itself was very stinky muggy and hot with cockroaches already living there permanently.
We didn't get at time, because our flight was late twice, so i called motel 6 to said that we arrived late, at 8am and then didn't refund our money because we didn't stay there.
Nothing Felt unsafe.. Looks like a hotel that rents by the hour. Suppose to stay 4 nights, stayed 1 night and went to a nearby wyndam for remaining 3 days of our stay.. We normally not very picky because we don't spend much time in a hotel room but this was a miserable nights experience..
Found 7 roaches in the first hour! Water pressure wasnt enough to get the shampoo ouf of my hair. There is only sheets on the bed so if u get cold suck It up. Worst motel I have ever been to!!! Will not stay here again. Would rather sleep in my car.
Recently remodelled, clean, staff responsive when we had problem with TV remote, great location for us to stop off on our way to Drippng Springs for a wedding, close to UT Austin, nice breakfast (although the eggs, potatoes and sausage were not hot), bed was comfortable Room was small, would have liked a workout room, but it was great value, and location right at intersection of 35 and 71 - very convenient
Location and staff letting us check in before 3 pm check-in time. Size (very small) and quality of the room. Hotel seemed to be undergoing repairs so it was loud and there was a lot of debris.
Great location, clean rooms, friendly staff, and very affordable-you get what you pay for! No hot water our first night, shower handle broke off, tv picture bad, and a few loud guests.
Nothing Roaches, holes on the sheet, mold in the shower, cigarette smell, dirty, shower head wasn't working, broken hand rails etc.
The young man at the front desk, and any other employees we encountered were friendly and helpful. The facility is very old and hasn't been kept up very well.
- Price - Location - Staff is helpful and polite - Cleanliness - Didn't feel 100% safe my car was going to be fine in the parking lot
Close to downtown Austin and the highway. The area wasn't too great, did not feel secure. You could hear people above/next to your room. People loitered in the parking lot. Staff not professional
Clean place RM 202, helpful people, hotel was well kept despite rugged exterior premises Showers only got Luke warm
Nothing. Well let's see. Crack heads. Cigarette Holes in the bed. ROACHES. AS SOON AS WE WALKED IN THE ROOM THERE WAS A ROACH ON THE WALL. When I booked the hotel, I read the reviews and thought "it can't be THAT bad" maybe in just that one room there was roaches or cigarette burns. NO. My friends and I got two seperate rooms and both had roaches and cigarette burns in the bed. The Windows had no screens to it and when we came in the room they were wide open. Check out said 12 when we reserved the room but house keeping knocked on our door at 10am saying check out is 11. Complained to the front desk but they acted like they didn't care because they didn't. Lol. I didn't expect a 5 start hotel but I didn't expect cock roach inn and cigarette burns in the bed either.
Staff was friendly enough. Door had 2 locks. ROACHES. Smelled like Black n' Milds. No hot water. I'm not a picky person, but I only stayed one of the 2 nights I (over)paid for.
Bed was comfy Crack addict waiting outside my door. Seriously.
Breakfast was good & receptionis was friendly. This hotel needs to be shut down. It is very rundown & smells awful. The elevator jolts, the carpet & walls are grossly dirts, the non-smoking room reeked of smoke and the bathrooms made you cry out for lysol.
Location was great for our needs. The beds were comfortable. the entire hotel stunk. My bed comforter had cigarette burns, and this is a smokeless room. The shower head leaked and sprayed off the side. The vanity light only had one bulb working. we stayed in room 206. I guess you get what you pay for... Meh. Most likely will never stay at another Howard Johnson. Parking Lot was very dim and we felt uneasy the entire time.
We reserved a room and the front desk didn't even know what we were talking about and asking what kind of room we wanted. This was also after he helped the people behind us first while we were clearly waiting before them. Also, in the background for comforting music was hard rock which is just unprofessional for a hotel to play. The room itself was something out of some scary movie. The deadbolt in the room was busted so there was no way of even feeling a sense of security in this place at all. Only reason we didn't go someplace else was because there wasn't a refund.
Roaches in the restroom, cigarette burns on the comforter. Tiny bathroom. Staff was very friendly. Creepy parking lot. Homeless man hanging out by the door. Would only stay again as a last resort.
