Far from city, expensive room, expensive parking, unreliable internet connection.
24h reception LCD TV and good choice of TV Progs Internet connection Location Fire Alarm at 23:00 without any reason (caused likely by a visitor, who was smoking inside his room) Locked airconditioning Invoice without common seal
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast, although expensive was comprehensive and provided a large variety of options. The location, whilst out of the main city was close to public transport which made getting into the city easy.
The staff were helpful, efficient and was overall a great service. The rooms were made up wonderfully, clean with en-suite bathroom containing either a shower and bath, or just a shower. The only negative aspect of the stay was the fact that the breakfast was not covered in the room cost, but charged at an extra 15Euro per person per day
The cleanliness Location to transportation Comfort Great staff Non-smoking hotel English language stations on TV Tour information available with great staff assistance in planniong Decor-a chair back was broken and not replaced. A large column was in center of first room, a change was requested to a different room. Pre-registration information indicated morning buffet was included which was not the case. Additional room taxes were charged after arrival.. Unable to locate pre-registration made for my guest.
The beds were soft and the hotel clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great with bacon and eggs, Bree and toast. A $150 room turned into a $220 room after all the fees and $20 parking.
Free internet We booked a double room but they gave us a room with 4 seperate beds,we wanted to change the room but they said that they are fully booked .The window was broken in the room, and when we look at the bed there was a pair of old sucks in it(It was an weird experiecne though!) Television charges you 12 euros per night(I never sae this in a 4 star hotel) There was no minibar(I never see this in a 4 star hotell either!!!) The beds was uncomfortable. It's a bit far away from the city center.Think twice before you decide to stay in this hotel.
location quite out to centre but easy to get there. Parking and a commercial centre behind the hotel and tram stop at 150 metres. no frigo bar in the rooms.
Came by car and it has a P&R next door, regular 12 euro/24 hrs, but when using public transport only 1 euro. A little difficult to understand how to make use of this probably. so make inquiries.
The reception always had free apples. In the beginning of the trip we needed to change rooms and the staff member that assisted is was extremely accommodating. The location in West Amsterdam is very far from all major attractions. The tram is very close to the hotel but the trip to Centraal Station is still close to 30 minutes. The bathroom cabinets had fake wood paneling that was peeling off. The carpets in the bedrooms were stained. Overall the room looked distressed with several scuff marks on the walls and other aesthetic issues. I would have paid more for the better living experience and accommodations closer to museums and nightlife.
The hotel is not a 4 star Hotel and should stop being advertised as such .. at best it is ... maybe a 2 star hotel .... the rooms and corridors are dinggy and in poor condition
It was quiet. The hotel is too far from city center. It takes around 30 mins to reach Centrum area by tram. They did not clean the room and they did not change the bedsheets. Staffs are not trained for their job.
I was supposed to be a 6 person dorm but it wasn't finished yet so It was 2 and a large space Has breakfast, and enough electrical outlets In each rooms each dorm has toilet and shower Sort of distant from center. No drinking in the dorm rooms? Really?
Very clean. Towel provided. I brought my own flip-flops, soap and shampoo, but none were strictly necessary (they had a funny 'soap stick' by the showers). Comes with breakfast (quite plain though). Eight minutes walk away from any bus stop, restaurant etc. Much further away from Amsterdam proper, though the 14 tram gets you there in ~20 minutes. Either bring a bike (and be a good biker) or get an all day bus pass. Wifi intermittent. Dinner restaurant often closed when supposed to be open.
