Location. Limited capabilities to seak English. Breakfast nothing special.
A central place,no problems to find the hotel
It was near to the city centre
Great location to visit the trulli, and the heel of the Italian boot. Friendly and helpful staff, clean room. Just the right distance (5 minutes of walking) from the busy "downtown" area. Breakfast, and the lack of air conditioning in room.
The manager was friendly, and kindly accomodated an extra room for the third person (instead of a 3rd bed), at extra cost of course. The so called breakfast consisted of a cappucino and junk packets. It would have been better to say there was no breakfast! If I recommend to anyone, I would also alert not to count the breakfast!
The hotel was very clean and nice, close to the Trulli area and restaurants. Parking was provided, which is always an excellent point, even for an extra charge. The employees were super, with directions, friendliness...We thoroughly enjoyed the stay! No. I didn't read the guest reviews....in answer to one of the following questions..
very close to trulis
Good location for seeing the trulli.
Absolutely charming! We loved the experience of staying in a trulo in Alberobello, especially one with such a spacious set of rooms with luxurious bathroom facilities. It was a very convenient location near good restaurants. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent.
The service at Le Alcove was impeccable - above and beyond in all aspects (breakfast in our room included in price, perfectly fresh fruit in our room upon arrival, cakes the next afternoon, olive oil and crackers at night, and a gift upon check out!) The fully stocked beverage fridge in our room was complimentary - something I've never heard of! The room was spectacular - beautifully decorated and incredibly clean. It was full of character as well. The bathroom was stocked with L'Occitaine bath products - lovely. The room has airco in the floor and not very effective; thus, our room was a little warm. The online description stated we'd have an ipod docking station and hydromassage tub but we had neither (no docking station and just a shower).
The hotel is located in central, and near from Trulli, which access by car is limited and hard to park. The hotel staff kindly helped us to park our car by moving his car. The room of Trulli was quite attractive for us. Nothing special to comments.
The location was great, there was free parking, the room and bathroom was very clean, and it was quite an experience staying in a converted monastery. My internet booking said there was free internet and the staff at the hotel said it was not. Not a big deal really, but they should probably fix that on this site.
Great location, friendly staff, good breakfast.
The hotel is located in a beautiful place and the room that we stayed at had a magnificent view.
very friendly reception staff - good level of cleanliness - good pricing, beautifully located
Location and quality of accomadation Nothing
Excellent location to visit the trulli. The hotel staff was very helpful. A school group was staying in the hotel and shouted till 1 a.m. This has totally ruined our night as we had to get up early.
Central location, good sized room cooled by fan only. Large bathroom. Pleasant, friendly staff. Adequate breakfast. Blocked shower head and no soap in bathroom
Very interesting location. Very calm and relaxing. Decent breakfast.
Perfectly sited and arguably the ideal position for touring Apulia. The Hotel was excellent and the town of Alberobello was without doubt the most beautiful in the region For a slightly higher "room rate" the breakfast could be more varied.
The best breakfast we had in Italy over a period of 3 weeks (7 hotels /B&Bs). Excellent location at the edge of the very busy trulli area, but quiet inside. We actually stayed in a trulli about 200 m from the hotel (presumably because the hotel had overbooked?) - this was a surprise but a pleasant one, and an interesting experience. It also made our overnight stay very good value for money.
I travel a lot and stay about 30+ times a year in different hotels around the world, e.g. I stayed last month at the W in the Maldives and Chicago, the St Regis in Singapore and other hotels in Bangkok, Paris, Colombo etc. It was totally unexpected but my friend and I were very impressed with the Olimpo. The first room we had was tastefully decorated in a contemporary style.
good coffee, garage, elevator difficult to find, small shower
size of the room, comfortable bathroom, free parking, excellent taverna
Helpfull staff, clean, decent rooms I wish a little bit larger variety in the breakfast
the owner of the hotel and his family were helpful and friendly and i found that all the other staff were the same
staff very friendly and helpful no
The position was good as i had to work south and west of Alberobello but if you want to explore the town you need a car as the hotel is just outside of it.It's a quiet nice hotel and during my stay i slept like a log.The in house restaurant is nice and the portions are generous The shower is a bit small. If you like an English cooked breakfast you're not going to get it but it's like that in most italian places
Comfortable hotel, good restaurant, good price Shower in the room was very small
Staff - couldn't have been more helpful and friendly, lovely meals, breakfast was set at a good time, easy to find from Bari airport, lovely and quiet area. Other restaurants nearby if you fancied a change. Meal times were not as clear as they could have been - that could be the fact that we did not read Italian and had forgotten our phrase book though
The peace and quiet
the garden, the swimming pool (however it was too cold) wifi in the rooms should make it excellent
The welcome and the service were friendly and helpful throughout. Our room in the main hotel, which is a beauitful conversion, was modern clean and well equipped. Although the menu is a bit limited the food(and wines) were good. The location is peaceful in the countryside but means driving into Alberobello. It was also good value. The outside dining area was a bit functional.
very charming complex, calm environment, excellent for relaxing, helpful staff
How close it was to the station and the heating was great. Breakfast was very average & the power circuit in my room tripped everytime I plugged something in, so had to keep turning it back on.
Reception staff were exceptionally helpful Room was "tired" and in need of refurbishment. Bathroom was not clean.
I liked the receptionist (can't remember his name) he was extremely helpful in every way. Recommended places to eat, directions to those places and directions to the Castellans caves. Our room was just a little too small so he recommended a bigger room for only an extra 5 Euros. On the morning of our depature the water in the shower was cold. We needed to leave very early for Bari. I had to run the water for over 20 minutes...the receptionist again was very helpful, came up to our room to check on the problem. We eventually had hot water for showers.
The staff was very helpful and the hotel was very close to historical site. Le staffe sono molto servizievole and l'albergo e molto vicino a storico sito.
This hotel has a very nice swimming pool and a good restaurant. The new rooms are very well designed and well located.
Staff was excellent. Access to the trulli was very good. One should be aware that tour groups use this hotel.
Very good location for sightseeing Alberobello trulli houses in quiet position away from the main hubbub of all the crows but within short walking distance. Good restaurant 5 mins walk away from hotel. Relaxing atmosphere with good swimming pool.
Good location just 10 minutes walk from city center with the trullies. Good breakfeast. The new rooms are nice furnished
good size rooms and nice personnel the pool closes at 7 pm, which is early when it is 34 °c.
The location was excellent, within walking distance of the trulli district and several good restaurants. Easy to find and good parking. Good breakfast buffet. Pleasant staff. Did not get to use the pool due to inclement weather, but it looked nice. Our room had a "screen" over the one window which made the room somewhat dark - granted, there was nothing of interest to view out the window - just an alley! It was not a place to spend lots of time in one's room. There was a pleasant terrace to use by the pool, however.
The staff in Reception and Dining room very helpful. The swimming pool no longer had chemicals in it, so was a bit dirty, but what can we expect at end of season.
The hotel might not look much from the outside, but the family room was very big and hotel looked like it had had a recent refit. Very clean, nice pool and friendly staff. Only a short walk from the town centre which has lots of restaurants.
very pleasant , helpful and efficient staff - well run hotel. Good centre for touring.
The swimming pool was of a good size The breakfast was finishing at 10 am and you had to beg even for a glass of water if you arrived just at 10 am. We could hear absolutely every single noise in the rooms next to ours.
The surrounding areas and at the hotel we especially appreciated the pool area, the rooms and the nice staff.
Meeting up with our friends and sitting by the lovely pool, and enjoying the weather and the surroundings. Did not enjoy the food
Clean, great pool, transfer to alberobello
I liked our room which is renovated a historical trullo room with enough space and confortable facilities. Breakfast is not good enough in terms of quality.
The staff were very nice and friendly, the breakfast is quite good, the swiming pool is more than enough, the rooms are very nice and complete, I came back very happy. The people from the reception keep your passport when you arrive to the hotel, and they return it some hours later, whenever they finished their internal booking. In every single hotel in the rest of the world, they make a simple copy of the ID and they make their internal burocracy with the copy. This is something that I don´t like, because I don´t want to leave the hotel and go to the city without documents, and I don´t like to have the possibility of loosing the document that I will need to fly back home.
Lovely location, backing onto woods, overlooking valley. Kids loved the animals, from rabbits to wild pigs. Big swimming pool and sun lounger terrace. Dining very simple - just sit down and they bring out the food (and a jug of vino!) - no menu. Room was well equipped and once the building work is done has potential to be a very nice place to stay Food on second night was poor (it had been excellent on the first night). There was extensive building work going on which started at 6.45am - not much of a lie in! Lovely pool, but had obviously recently been 'resealed' and the mastic had not set resulting in a sticky coating on your feet. No obvious way to buy drinks or even water other than at meal times, so prepare for a trip to the supermarket approx 6 km away.
It is in surrounded by beautiful countryside and in a very quiet location . Ideal for location if planning to explore the areaby car The farm had some animals, kept for the benefit of guests, in very small enclosures and poor condition . The swimming pool had not been filled at the time of our stay , May, despite the weather being suitable for it to have been in use. A new building is being constructed on the site which could be noisy if guests plan to spend time at the hotel during daytime.
Large room, very clean, great views, lovely swimming pool, very friendly, warm and helpful staff. Good value for money. Near Alberobello, not only famous for trulli-houses but also some great restaurants. We will definitely return. Some rooms did have airconditioning, ours don't. Since it was very warm during our stay it was greatly missed.
It was a nice stay, staff was nice and helping us to get information about the city and surrounding area.
Within good walking distance to attractions. good breakfast, Staff friendly and professional. Just off train tracks-- but, really not that noisy
Location, well-cared-for hotel, free parking
The position of the Hotel - pool looked excellent but of course weather was not quite good enough for us to take advantage and use it No - by and large our stay was very pleasant nad acceptable
Easy walk into town; friendly staff; clean room; beautiful pool; vast parking area; decent breakfast Lack of address for determining driving directions
Very affable place, good location, swimingpool was to the point. By the way Alberobello is very nice place that should be visited a fortiori if you travel with children and stay in this hotel will be very convenient.
The people were helpful and the breakfast choice good for continental style breakfast Road directions to hotel difficult to follow on arrival in Alberobello. Swimming pool not clean enough to use. We could not find satelite channels on TV or mini bars in either of our rooms. No safe in rooms.
Everything was new and functioned well. Breakfast one of the worst I've experienced, never seen rationing of cheese, ham and croissants (poor quality btw) at breakfast before. Energy efficiency of the hotel was a nice try, but a bit overstretched in places.
Close to twon. Lovely pool and pretty building. Food excellent
The staff were extremely helpful and did everything to help our stay very pleasurable. Also lovely outdoor pool.
We enjoyed our Trulli experience but would have appreciated a kettle and some cups in the room as it was a wee drive into the village for refreshments, otherwise we would highly recommend. Very professional company.
Very positive experience overall. The staff were excellent and most helpful. Our facility was a 20 minute walk from the center and breakfast. This was no problem as we enjoyed the walk. Breakfast was very good as was the service. No sitting area in the room, just a table and two chairs. A small comfortable settee would have been nice. Not a huge issue as the trullis are small.
The Trullo was fantastic, the staff were wonderful. The local town is lovely with plenty to see and do. Lots of other towns to visit by car also.
A quirky construction in rural surroundings and with furnished outside space yet only a 20 minute walk into the centre of Alberobello. Pleasant and informative welcome. Secure car parking. No comfortable inside seating. Breakfast not available on site, although it was well provided by a cafe in Alberobello.Next year breakfast will be provided on site.
Situated very close to the city center (10 min walk), the Residence is composed by the beautiful buildings called "Trulli" well equipped and very romantic, in a country space very characteristic, ideal to stay in the calm peace of country and to taste the classic food of Puglia. Excellent and young staff always available for satisfying the request of customers. Really many thanks. Nothing
We loved the attention to detail with the design and comfort of the Trulli home. Furthermore the semi-rural setting was very nice. It was a little further from the town than we nwere expecting and we were unable to get the heating turned on.
Real Trully experience. The Reception staff is multilingual.
The country residence, which is just outside of Alberobello, is a charming and thoughtful renovation of an old farm. All the trulli are restored to the highest standard, and the entire experience is delightful!
Truely an unusual spot. The Trulli houses were a highlight of our vacation.
good staff no
