Our B & B is situated in the countryside but it is only 12 minutes drive from the centre of Rotorua City. It is on a 10 acre life style block with cows, sheep (sometimes lambs & calves) and hens. Depending on the time of year and what is being done with the animals you are welcome to either watch what we are doing or help with certain things if you would like to. For example, you might like to help us move the sheep into the yards for drenching, shearing etc. We try to keep spare sets of gumboots (Wellingtons) if guests need them, although they are not usually necessary in the drier times of year. The B & B accommodation is quiet and private and while it is part of our house it has it's own separate access. There is no internal access between the B & B and the residential part of our home There is ample off road parking. We offer either a continental style or a full English breakfast that can be taken in our own dining room or that can be delivered to guests in the B & B unit. This is included in the tariff. There is a local café and a restaurant within less than five minutes drive from our B & B for evening meals, or if you wish to go into Rotorua City there is a large number of cafes and restaurants there. The B & B unit does not have cooking facilities, although it does have a refrigerator, tea and coffee making facilities and a toaster. Our home is situated on about one acre of land and guests are welcome to wander around the lawns and garden if they wish. They may also walk over the farm paddocks but we do ask that they check with us first. There are times when animals prefer to be alone. There is good trout fishing available less than two kilometres from our property and we are always happy to answer any questions about activities and sight seeing. Rotorua is an area rich in thermal activity and Maori culture and history are a prominent part of the tourist scene here. Whether you wish to partake in activities or enjoy the sights there are lots of things for the tourist to do.
