An average experience. The seat is large enough for economy. The flight time was shorter than expected.

I wish slippers were provided as our flight was in the middle of the night. The in-flight entertainment was a local TV program on a shared screen. I wore an eye mask so it didn't bother me too much, but it sucked that I couldn't just turn it off.

Gave me something to talk about with my wife while we discussed what meat was in the 'snack'

45 minutes delayed before even pushing back from the terminal that they only told us once we were all on. Then the 'snack' they served was utterly horrendous. It was some sort of super sweet bread with a mystery meat in it.

I saw a price on Kayak app on my Iphone. I chose the Kayak price, no other 3rd party. Kayak re-directed me to Flight Network. Purchase the tickets, filled out credit card and all. Got a ticket purchase confirmation. Went to bed to wake up early in the morning to get early flight. Get to the airport, I learned from the airline the tickets were never issued. Called flight network and they tell me the tickets have been canceled because they were not able to secure the advertised price. This is misrepresentation and screwed up my whole trip. If a booking is done, the 3rd party should honor what they sale, even if they mess up. Moreover so that I choose the purchase on kayak option. Will never do it again, lesson learned. Will purchase elsewhere.

You can't even supply the flight yet constantly send e-mails asking how the flight was. You shouldn't offer flights if you can't book them. Then sending constant e-mails making it seem like they're booked.

Was an ok flight experience. Boarding was smooth and the cabin staff were pleasant.

Not one of my 4 flight legs were on time. The flight I was on was advertised as non stop flight but what is not made clear is the flight has to make a stop for passengers to clear immigration and customs - which is ok but they should make it clear. They also have a wierd policy of not allowing use of phones or tablets even on flight safe mode which if you aren't prepared for makes a boring flight.

Late taking off. Sat 30 minutes at Beijing airport waiting to park, then waited 15 minutes for a bus transfer to the terminal build. Only one bus so deplaned at the speed of the slowest passenger. 10 min bus journey to the terminal building. Missed my flight to the UK. I recommend you use an airline that pays for an air bridge and can coordinate the ground staff to be ready for the planes arrival!

Nothing

The fact that I was not able to get on my flight because I didn't have a visa after I called the airline over a week before my flight to ask about it and they told me I didn't need one. They told me I would get a temporary 72 visa upon arrival in Fuzhou but when I went to check in this was not the case. Now they won't give me any money back for that flight or the one I had to buy to get home. It was their fault I was not on the flight and they won't own up to it. I will never fly with them and I will do my best to let others know that they shouldn't either

Getting off the flight.

More often than not, Philippine Airlines has been our airline of choice because we found their rates to be fair and flights direct and easy. Despite the fact that the PAL terminal was pretty poor, and the food on board was never really decent, we remained loyal to PAL for quite a few years. On our way back to Melbourne from Manila on June 17, Saturday, Colin, Hendrix and I were awaiting boarding at gate 10 for flight PR 209. Having flown with PAL from Melbourne to Manila (as well as with another airline from Manila to Manchester and back), we understood that the usual procedure was to allow passengers with infants to board first. Due to the lack of order (there were no clear queues in sight), Colin decided to ask 3 different PAL personnel if there was, indeed, a priority queue for people travelling with infants. ALL THREE PERSONNEL ASSURED US THAT THEY WERE NOT YET BOARDING AND THAT WE WOULD BE CALLED UPON PRIOR TO THEM LETTING ANYONE ELSE ON THE PLANE. 2 minutes later, a PAL personnel appears with signage that reads certain row numbers and begins to call out to ALL PASSENGERS FOR BOARDING. Colin swiftly rushes to the front (me and baby in tow) and demands an explanation as to why we were told one thing but are watching them act upon something completely different. I wish I was joking when I tell you that the personnel just stared blankly at us and then carried on checking boarding passes. No apologies, no explanation offered. As soon as we boarded, Colin turned to the first flight steward he saw and asked for a complaint form and told this could ONLY be done online, to which Colin requested we be given the email/web address upon take off. The seats assigned to us were on the right most side of the aircraft, a window and a middle seat. As Colin was placing our bags in the overhead compartment, the steward called to Colin from across the aisle (past the 3 seats in the middle of the plane) to introduce the purser, Jolly Bello. Please note this was happening while people were also trying to get past and get to their seats -and Mr. bello called out across the aisle, "I heard you have a complaint??" to which Colin, baffled, replied "yes do you want to come over here so we aren’t shouting over these people?". Colin yet again told this purser what the complaint was about and was asked (verbatim) "so would you like to make a complaint against THEM?" Would the correct protocol not be to 1. Apologise for any confusion, miscommunication or poor service, 2. Take some responsibility and acknowledge the complaint and 3. Maybe come approach us AFTER TAKE OFF and not while everyone is trying to board the plane? We are no longer choosing Philippine Airlines.

Boarding was ok Crew was great and very friendly Entertainment was ok on the flight there there was tv in the head rest on the way back there was none you had to have your own devices and watch over the planes WIFI

When I was boarding my carry on was 2 kg over and they wanted to charge me $100 with no other option just pay the money or throw your things away. On both flights going a and coming there was no way to charge your devices I.E. plugs or USB ports... This become much more important with flights don't have tv in the headrests and you have to use your own devices to watch movies over the planes WIFI The food is airplane food and being a cheap airline it's worse than most.

the staff were pleasant

the food was ok as I like spicy. But one mouthful of water and a small wine. soft drink, etc was not enough on a 4 hour flight. Leg room was very bad. I am average hight 5 ft 10 inch but could only sit sideways aas not enough room

Breakfast - woken 2 hours before landing, very sorry version of "breakfast" was at best aweful only to then have lights turned off again after service completed.

not much did i like

the boarding was half an hour late with no explanation or warning then we sat for half an hour on the plane without take off. I asked the crew what was happening and reminded them this was a passenger flight not a cargo flight. How about the captain or someone doing something crazy like advising the cabin what is happening? Completely lost on the Chinese psyche it seems. The food was minimal, about a desert spoon of overcooked chicken, piles of rice and an unedible vegetable. I managed to get two thimble full glasses of wine.

flight being delayed for 5 hours is hardly acceptable. The official delayed certificate should be handed out to passengers in a more spacious and controlled area and not when people are alighting from the aircraft, everyone was stuck and unable to get past the crowd. With China flights, i am pretty certain the bunch of mainlanders didnt even know what the certificate was for, they just flocked over to get it because that is their mentality. Aircon should be turned on if people are stuck inside the airline waiting for take off. Reasons such as the aircon is broken is pathetic. If the captain knows the flight is bound to be delayed then let the crew know in advance so they can prepare for our in flight enjoyment better such as refreshments like water to say the very least.

couldn't put bag in until 2.5 hours before flight i had a mobile phone power battery in my check in and they wouldn't let me leave it there had to put it in my carry on luggage - no big deal but was unusual.

We boarded the plane approx on time but we were sitting for a while when an announcement asked for 2 passengers to identify themselves with the crew. Nothing more was said until we were now 40 minutes past departure time and the Captain comes on to say we were waiting for a take off slot from the Air Traffic Control!!! No apologies or advice as to what had happened. We finally were on the runway at approx 12 midnight or 1 hr 25 mins late. To top it all I get an email from PAL at 1.56am (I saw this after arrival of course) which said the plane had changed its arrival time to 9.30am - but the departure time remained the same!!! How am I also going to receive an email when I am already flying?? Food was aweful Entertainment system was also aweful - my future flights on PAL will be only a last resort

This become much more important with flights don't have tv in the headrests and you have to use your own devices to watch movies over the planes WIFI The food is airplane food and being a cheap airline it's worse than most.

I got there

Very cheap but too basic for my liking - no food (can buy it though), no water, no blankets or pillow on a night flight.

Over all flight experience ok, lack of boarding information and ran out of menu choice but rest ok.

Arrived in one piece but my luggage didn't; flew from Auckland to Singapore via KL with a 2 hr layover; how luggage didn't make connecting flight is beyond me; maybe they just lose things

the staff were pleasant

the food was ok as I like spicy. But one mouthful of water and a small wine. soft drink, etc was not enough on a 4 hour flight. Leg room was very bad. I am average hight 5 ft 10 inch but could only sit sideways aas not enough room

Not much. Probably only the check in from.Phnom Penh. Haha checked through to Melb

Couldn't check in online to secure reserved preferred seat section. No boarding passes printed on long haul section. Fight delayed, arrival delayed. No terminal parking for aircraft, which meant catching a bus to terminal. Not impressed at all. Why bother with frequent flyer class if it's not going to apply at all as business flyers.

Gave me something to talk about with my wife while we discussed what meat was in the 'snack'

45 minutes delayed before even pushing back from the terminal that they only told us once we were all on. Then the 'snack' they served was utterly horrendous. It was some sort of super sweet bread with a mystery meat in it.

An average experience. The seat is large enough for economy. The flight time was shorter than expected.

I wish slippers were provided as our flight was in the middle of the night. The in-flight entertainment was a local TV program on a shared screen. I wore an eye mask so it didn't bother me too much, but it sucked that I couldn't just turn it off.

seat width was good meals were fine - beef stir fried with rice and veges handed out head sets reasonable English movies and TV

couldn't put bag in until 2.5 hours before flight i had a mobile phone power battery in my check in and they wouldn't let me leave it there had to put it in my carry on luggage - no big deal but was unusual.
